I saw absolutely no improvement today from last season. If anything, we did the bad things even better... if you know what I mean. Even Migs flapped as usual. And some of his kicks were jaw dropping even though we've seen it before.

What exactly did we do during the break? I have no idea. What do all the training and coaching staff do? I'm baffled.

We were relaxing and drinking some sport beverage.

Apart from that we were travelling round the globe to up our brand and earn some money to the club.

Trying to get better and win things? Not so much focus on that I assume, else we would have rectified some of the bad behaviour at defending.

I am asking myself if Klopp can rectify our defensive problems especially if he thinks that our 4 CB are good enough asking for 5 names that could improve our central back line. Also, I still don't understand what he sees in Origi.

No Origi is a strange one. Looks totally off pace and form.

Solanke has looked OK though, but he gets a full rest. Strange!

Has Klopp stated the objectives for this season?
I think progression from last year would be finish 3rd or better in PL, have a better Goal Diff, and win at least one cup.

i think it's too competetive this season. We've stood quite still in terms of investment and devlopment whilst a few around us have invested heavily. If nothing else, their spirit and optisim levels will have been boosted.

In our case, we've seen all the old frailties on match day one and now have no answers for them as we don't have any new options. The coaches and players have been working together for over a year. If they haven't fixed it in that time what makes us think they will fix it going forwards?

So as things stand, I don't expect to see an improvement from last season in the league. It's more a question of how far will we fall methinks.

Just watching City beat Brighton and they are bringing on the likes of Sterling, Silva and Sane, our rivals have substitutes that give them options and do not weaken the team, we do not.

We have lost 2 creative MF players in Lallana and Coutinho and our midfield of Can, Wij & Henderson doesn't inspire and they look quite the same, add to that Can is on the verge of leaving as he won't sign a new contract and we are down to bare bones again, will we ever learn? this is why I have been saying we need more MF, especially how Klopp wants them to play in his high tempo pressing.

I also don't see why Origi is coming on before Solanke, SOlanke had a good pre-season, scored goals, looked mobile and was causing teams a problem, Origi hardly featured and looked poor, I don't get it? is this Klopp showing he has his favourites? same with Moreno, 3 years crap, has 1 or 2 good pre-season games and he's our LB again????

Hopefully todays performance has woken Klopp & FSG up, as Carragher was saying on SKY, the problem with Liverpools defence is the position, VvD won't fix that, as he will be stood where he's told in his zone, to replace Matip or Lovren, as a CB I though Klopp would organise them much better? or at least bring someone in he has used to sort them out, we look as bad as ever at the back and that was out first choice defence apart from Clyne, and TAA did well to be fair to him.

Also, why did Klopp bring Gomez on and mess with the defence at the end? with us under pressure he should have left it alone, or too one of the front 3 off and bring on an extra midfielder like Milner to shore it up.
