We are nearly two full years into Klopp's tenure. One season with limited expectations, last season with increased expectations, and being frank, a minimally expected achievement.

So this season, for any fan worth their salt, is about pushing on. It isn't about maintaining fourth and just enjoying being back in the Champions League. It's wanting the title that we've struggled to compete for. It is being highly competitive in the Champions League. It is winning a trophy, of which the FA Cup and League Cup offer opportunity to do so.

I don't want to look back at the end of the season and think of what might have been, IF we had bought Keita and Van Dijk, IF we had back-up targets we could have pursued, IF we had spent the money we have to spend, IF we could have kept onto Coutinho (Heaven forbid).

I'm wondering if we've really done enough on paper to expect improvement.

Have other teams made more progress than ourselves? Will a settled squad offer improvement this year for the experience of last season? Are we looking at settling because of teams appear to have? Will the window offer encouragement later on?

Seriously... We're not competing on all fronts, as it stands this season. Not because our first XI isn't comparable to the other teams. Not because our squad doesn't have enough quality. It is always the depth, and we're still pinning our hopes on question marks. Add into that the expectation that we'll have a few injuries, I'm just not sure we'll cope. We need a little more, I'm hoping we don't end the window thinking we still need a centre-half and a midfielder, but at this point, it seems unlikely to be anything but...

I agree that thought is so annoying , and to think after two season of TV rights money equating to over £250m and a positive netspend, yet we are willing to let our top targets go because they are "overpriced"... Pay the extra for peice of mind so we don't wonder 'what if'... And especially considering Klopp saying it's hard to find alternatives, Klopp is happy with our CB's ??? Surely he's joking , let's put things into context , after all that money we have , having only two targets we still were going to offer £40m upfront for kieta with installments reaching £75... why? Why bother , we are in no position to complain about overpaying for kieta of VvD, if LFC cannot find any quality alternatives then that's the inadequacy of LFC and such must be compensated by making sure we go all out for who we want, and to think after first bid of £29m for salah they started with the "we won't be held to ransom" we haven't made a single signing in 7years that involves beating others to a players signature, theirs a big difference between being held for ransom and continuely buying within a criteria "value" that limits the players we can go for ...

This season salah -Roma FFP , solanke -free agent
Robertson - relegated ... Did we have any competition to sign? No , and they were all in cases able to buy on the cheap ... Sad that people think FSG have changed under Klopp .

Here's some sad info about our state of organisation , in January we told clubs Sakho was only for sale, southampton offered a loan deal, we decline, they we back pedalled and loaned to crystal palace..

You'd think if we identified Van Dijk earlier we'd have considered good business relations , suggest massive disorganisation within club

Now we come crawling back to southampton offering a badly injured sakho plus lowballing cash for VvD? Absolute disgrace ,

-then we try to further bully the price lower by leaking info to kill off the competition and scare off the bidding war, of ourse because FSG don't do bidding wars the tools!!! Yet that severely backfired ,

Considering so'ton gave permission for Van Dijk to speak to LFC,city and Chelsea they were never upset about the tapping up ,

Yet our apology was done (apparently" WITHOUT the knowledge of Klopp !!! So basically a statement that holds pivotal relavence to acquiring klopps one and only CB target of window , yet they won't run it by him???

FSG are using the statement to hide behind , their true intentions was to self-sabotage a deal that doesn't coincide with their business model,

Klopp is being isolated internally in the board and left to deal with the scrutiny in which he continually protects them only causing more anger within the fanbase...

Now we are left with classic FSG PR... Male us scared Coutinho will leave then before window shuts us the whole "FSG stand firm on Coutinho" to smokescreen the failed attempts of Van Dijk ( to a lesser extent kieta) even though they had 3-4 months to plan this ...

I'd rather Klopp keep his optimistic mouth shut after middle borough game, we were excited for nothing , Klopp hopefully has learnt a more dogmatic approach to dealing with his clown board room and show some ruthlessness come January

Wow it's like they purposely try manipulate fans expectations to prolonge the state of utter garbage , dare I say they have somehow changed Klopp with an imposter ???

Well there's still a quality issue with defense and we could do with a top class defensive midfielder, so as it stands we're not competing on all fronts and not in the transfer market if things stay as they are at this moment. Actually if we don't sign a CD and sell Coutinho, we could well be looking at 6th, 7th or 8th come next May. As a fan I feel pretty much in a perilous situation just now. On top of all that, the great Klopp'o is being made to look pretty clownish as well, so it worrying.

I'm currently not feeling very optimistic, but lets' see how it pans out by November.
