If Klopp is to be successful at liverpool, it will be in spite of FSG, they are obviously holding us back, but maybe Klopp can still find a way, theirs a slight chance negotiations with VvD have been kept partly secret , I'd give it a month , let's hope VvD won't sign with another team whatever crap city or Chelsea offer, let's hope Klopp gave his word he'll sign him, let's hope his agent is on board ad they keep their mouth tight lipped, at the right time "maybe" a transfer request will be made and LFC offer no less than 60 million,
Theirs a slight chance . Maybe the de vrij deal is a smokescreen just like the martins deal influence Roma and Southampton , a tricky dangerous game, but oh well what can we do, let's hope they have some plan to pull this off, surely Klopp rubber stamped that statement, so theirs something they may be keeping secret , let's just hope, I reckon Klopp is hard headed and bullish as a manager, he wants salah and Van dijk as main signings Didn't know VVD was the new CR or Messi Coutinho is of that potential calibre, but Van Dijk is a world class centre back , could easily play for Barcelona, I think one of the main reasons Klopp wants him is not only his ability , but his attitude, he sees him as our captain in near future , the guy is a world class centre back , overpriced ? Who isn't these days? It may give FSG some respect from fans if they over spend on a world class CB, when was the last time we can say LFC had a world class CB!

Are we doing great at the moment do you think? No precisely. Spending 75m on a CB won't get us doing great neither as we need at least 4 top signings. Good CBs are not really in the shortest supply in football, this is why they should not be the most expensive neither I don't know. If we are prepared to spend big money on him. Overpay for him, then we probably think he is the best that we can get and he will make a big difference. We have Lovern who is not a bad defender, looking around just the premier league I don't see many or any that we could get that would be an improvement on him. If we can't get a top class CB. I don't see the point in spending 20-30m on another Lovern

I don't think he is World Class yet, and we would be overpaying, anything more than £50 million is far too much, he has been out nearly 6 months with a bad ankle injury, who's to say he will come back as the same player with the pace & movement, for that sort of money I want to see him e play a few months of competitive games with no repercussion's.

Part of the risk I guess,but I can't think of a truly reliable world class centre back like him ( at prime age ) , now he is the closest IMO to a world class centreback in the world , just ask a Southampton fan , I was skecpikal at first cos he's not rapid, but the guy isn't slow, Southampton YouTube channel say he's their best player in all positions, he's the best passer, technically gifted , very commanding, captain, some of the accounts of how people describe him, he can just start playing in the midfield, yet he isn't a flamboyant defender without defensive skills, he's solid at the back, think of him as a young kompany, with the technical ability of a midfielder, great long pass similar to pique , watch the solo goal he scored for Celtic, it show cases how much he has to offer, I think he plays within himself, one of the negatives they say is he may be too complacent, his ability is too good and he rarely breaks stride he wants a bigger challenge , the guy is world class IMO
