Can't agree with mignolet getting an 8. 7 at best.
He was dropped at the start of the season and he was poor for most of it, still made some mistakes but also some match winning saves.
Origi is still young and yet to play as our main striker. Often thrown out on the wing, we used to praise kuyt for his work rate without any goals or assists. Origi works very hard too. 6 is harsh.
Wijnaldum has been one of our best players after mane and coutinho. He's a future captain for me and he'll be massive for us next year.
Good ratings tho Origi doesn't deserve more than 6, he played more as a central striker at least since Mane got injured. Is he any much younger than Kane? I would get rid quickly, for me even Caroll is a better striker. About three years younger. . . No, he is actually less than 2 years younger and Kane has been scoring more than 20 in the last 3 seasons. Origi is already 22 and he is nowhere near good strikers at his age and he got a lot of opportunities thanks to our thin squad.

I don't get what Origi is as he's rarely shown the instinct of a striker.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

He wouldn't have played so much this season had sick note not been out so much. He's good to have as third choice.

Origi is a player who will sit on the bench, come on and play different positions for the team, he just doesn't seem to have a strikers instinct to get to the right position to score goals, so I can never see him being a regular top scoring striker for us. He reminds me abit of Heskey, seems to have all the attributes a top striker needs, but never seems to put it together.

I would say Heskey was a better striker than him, at least Heskey had a good header and was not afraid to put his head in crowded areas and was physically stronger, Origi works a lot but that's about it.

Mignolet - 8 Best season for us so far. Earned another season as no 1. Clyne - 6 Ok defensively, doesn't really know what to do going forwards. Could lose place. Matip - 7 What a free. Our best defender just needs to play more often. Lovren - 6 Improvement but still a lot of mistakes and very erratic. Milner - 6 much better than Moreno defensively but slows the game down cutting in. Can - 7 Rubbish at the start but looked quality in DM second half of season Wijnaldum - 7 Quiet most of the time but had an impact when it mattered. Good, not great. Lallana - 7 Started well, faded after injury. Not great second half of season. Mane - 8 Briliant, just a shame he missed so many games Firmino - 7 Worked hard and scored some important goals but doesn't have the quality to lead the line. Anonymous in alot of games and wasteful at times. Coutinho - 8 Started the season looking word class and finished it looking world class. Shame about the injury in the middle.
Others: Karius 4 - Disaster Klavan 5 - Had some good games and some disasters. Backup only. Lucas 6 - Credible, Ok when in midfield and did his best at CB but should never have played there and cost us points when he did. Henderson - 6 Was having a decent season but missed too many games. Sturridge 4 - Barely played and only impacted 1-2 games when he did. Origi 6 - Works hard but lacking quality.
Others not done enough to get a rating.
Agree with all ratings except the 8 for Migs. He was dire for most of the season and only began to improve towards the end of the season. He did save us on a couple of recent games and for that I'd give him a season average of 6.

The point really was that they both have the attributes to be a top striker, but never seem to put it together on the pitch. Origi has had lots of chances to prove himself as a starting striker and hasn't, Sturridge has been out for near enough 6 months and came back with a few games to go to the end of the season and has come on as the first choice striker, shows you Klopp has lost confidence in Origi.

Dire......that's a bit harsh, he was decent at the start of the season and was very unlucky to get dropped once Karius was fit. He made a couple of mistakes in January including dropping a cross onto a forwards head (against Hull?) then he had a great finish to the season. I think he deserves a 7.

I don't get what Origi is as he's rarely shown the instinct of a striker. He's the new David N'Gog. Terrible signing.
