75% happy for me. Disappointed with the cup run and the january wobble, but I would have bitten your hand off for finishing above Arsenal and United, had you offered it to me before the season started. Hopefully a stepping stone for things to come.

if i was given 4th at the start of the season then i would have taken it so 8 seems like a fair number pl win would have been 10 4th and fa cup would have been 9 honestly, that sounds fair

So we have qualified for the champions league season feels a bit bitter / sweet for me.
But.,,,
We have qualified for the champions league so that's something and year ahead going to be a massive challenge for Klopp. Within the confines of FSG I am sure he will be given funds. Our squad is shallow but we have some good in there Klopp will really need to balance the new aquistions to deliver the notch up we need. Our expectations are likely some form of silverware next year and more consistency in the league.
But overall I am reasonably happy looking forward to seeing who Klopp signs
Happiness index for me tonight 6.47 out of 10 based on at least we have something to look forward to now 7 for me, CL qualification with a cup would have been 8, EPL 9, the treble 10

You can't put a number on it.
If you compare it to the success Shanks, Paisley, etc obtained, then finishing 4th and winning no cups would be a big fat zero for them.
With our expectations dumbed down to the level that finishing 2nd,3rd, 4th without winning anything is a successful season. Then some people would say 7.
All it is, is a base.
We have a pizza base, now we need some toppings added, we don't want another FSG pizza with a spoonful of tomato sauce and a couple of flakes of cheese.

Sorry to be the party spoiler, but we are not even in the CL yet!
There will be a play off to pass through, held in the beginning of August:
"The Reds" will enter the competition in the 4:th and last qualification round as a seeded club, thanks to this weekend's positive results in the German Bundesliga.
The draw will take place on 4 August, and the first match will be played 15 or 16 August, the week after the Pl starts in other words.
The return match will be played on the 22 or 23 August.
5 out of these 10 unseeded clubs may become our opponents in the Play Off, depending on the results in qualification round 3.
The 10 clubs are: Sporting Lisbon, Viktoria Plzen, CSKA Moscow, Club Brügge, Steaua Bukarest, Young Boys, Hoffenheim, Nice, Istanbul Basaksehir or Besiktas, and the 2:nd club in the Greek Superleague.
The remaining teams that we might face are not yet qualified, but among others we might find Brendan Rodgers' Celtic there. liverpool would knock celtic out , bring them on .

I too am a 6 on the happiness scale. I cant celebrate being 4th in England and so far behind the winners, and being nowhere near as good as Bayern, PSG or Real etc.
I will be happier when we get some boss recruits and other teams in Europe fear us for our pace and power. When we win the League and The European Cup then I will be happy as.
