Klopp starting to thread on thin ice in certain areas. I've just read his quote about the pitch being too dry today. He said he felt he was brave mentioning it. On the contrary he is perhaps stupid to say it. He said something about wind a few weeks back. It's just inviting trouble. Had Roy or Rodgers said these things they would have been blasted.

I noticed Klopp tutned his back on the penalty whilst it was being taken. Ok... maybe he had some supertsition or good luck think around it. But as we missed he should surely ditch that practice. Face up, show confidence, calmness and support to your team. Rafa is the ultimate professional in this regard.

It seems to me that we have another manager who is learning on the job. How much time do we give him? Would you give this summers funds to Klopp to spend?

Getting rid of Klopp is like pressing the self-destruct button. Not even worth comprehending in my opinion.

I think it is worth considering - esp when Rafa is available at no cost. On balance though, it is probably worth giving Klopp one more season for now.

One more year with this summer transfers his first test - get the lads you want in and win at least one trophy next year and improve points total as well as qualify for CL.

P.S. easy on all fronts - just win the PL.

Because clearly Klopp's best trait is working with what he's got at hand.

But signing players isn't his department. He is used to the German league with much less funds available. It will take him years to figure out English football and what works here.

Rafa will be forever an icon in our history, but we're a club forever too invested in our past to look forward. Going back to Rafa would be failing foul of learning from past mistakes, which are looking at what we used to have, rather than trying to make something to remember. I don't see how any fan would see Rafa as an upgrade on Klopp, when Newcastle barely made it as Champions despite a huge spending spree. Serious need for perspective.

We've seen that before. The problem is we sack them after giving them time to learn. Rafa was with us 6 seasons. He wasn't perfect, mad many mistakes but surely he would have learnt from them. And his season with Newcastle would have added considerably to his learning about the English game.

Rodgers was a novice who shouldn't have got the job in the first place. But after letting him get 3 years experience we sack him.

No we have the same problem with Klopp.

This is far too knee jerk Mighty, we are stumbling and it's making us all nervous but we have two cup finals now and we need to win them. As for Rafa the way the club treated him was an utter disgrace and we should have got him back after the Hodgson farce , but I'm happy for him enjoying success and long may it continue with the toon.

I disagree that it's knee jerk to consider appointing Rafa. It's not as if we've suddenly lost just one or two games after winning say ten in a row. There are lots of areas where Klopp is falling short at the moment - and it's happened over quite a long period.

Klopp effectively had a 6 months pre-season. He joined us 10 games into last season so we write that off as not being his first full season, but it gave him a long time to get to know the players, league etc. He also had the Jan '16 and summer '16 windows to change the squad as required to build a team capable of challenging for top 4. To top it all he had no European games this season - hence a week to prepare for nearley every game except the xmas ones.

Despite all of the above, we have collapsed in a shockingly bad manner over a period lasting a few months. We did so in a manner that people expected Leicester to last season, bt we all know what they achieved. How did they do that and we can't get even close? I don't think we can blame that on FSG.

We may still conclude that Klopp is the best option at the moment. But not to consider alternatives even briefly would be stupid.

What is this obsession with having Rafa back I'll never understand. I adore Rafa, but he's not won a league In ages, last time was in 2003/4, and he's been around for a very long time. Other than an unsuccessful title challenge, he was unable to win anything after our FA cup win In 2006, which eventually led to us slipping out of the top four and regressing as a team. I want us to move forwards not backwards. Sure we are having a shitty season, but Klop deserves at least 3 seasons, hopefully he can learn from his mistakes and build a far greater team than the [oops] we have now.
