Lucas is our Flamini type player...when I say that I mean when he is put in his natural position of DM, he will make others' performances in the team much better because you can trust him to do the dirty unheralded work that goes unnoticed a lot of the time!
We need Lucas, especially when you look at our current squad's depth. This summer we must buy quality and for that a lot of money needs to be spent. Lucas adds depth, he may not be everybody's cup of tea but he is a grafter that this squad is sorely lacking in.
I would prefer us getting rid of Henderson before Lucas because Henderson is neither an attacking nor defensive midfield player, he's sort of inbetween if that makes sense? and his injuries now make him a liability we can't afford!
