I think John Terry has been one of, if not the best central defender the Premiership has seen. However he is Chelsea through and through and has been a one club man, I hope he finishes his career abroad rather than joining another Premiership team.
His Chelsea connection means a move to us could never work or happen I believe he could definitely still play at the top level if he chooses too, he's never had any pace and has never needed it.

Surely you must've expect a back lash for even suggesting or starting a thread like this. I expected allot of negativity, I am negative about him the man, as I said he comes with baggage, but as a footballer, he is a leader, something we have missed in the team. As a free transfer that is available, it would be silly not to consider the option. I am very surprised he has said he will stay in the PL, that takes balls, Terry is one of them, you love him at your club, but he is hated by all the other PL fans. If you think my suggestion was bad, on TalkSport this morning they were suggesting a move to West Ham might happen!!!!!

Just because he hasn't played this season doesn't mean he isn't a leader. As I've said look at his career, his leadership skills are there for all too see, unless your basing his whole career on this season which I don't understand at all.

Just because he hasn't played this season doesn't mean he isn't a leader. As I've said look at his career, his leadership skills are there for all too see, unless your basing his whole career on this season which I don't understand at all. If you are not good enough on the pitch you cannot lead, this is my point. I am not talking about the past but going forward as the poster wants us to sign him in summer for his leadership qualities.
