As good as Mignolet was against Stoke (and he was clearly motm) he has been below average since coming into Liverpool and he cost us many more points than he's gained us. Pity since originally I was fine with his signing.

Loris Karius has talent, showed that last season in the Bundesliga but he's clearly not ready to start every game for a side like ours.

A decision has to be made this summer on what to do regarding our goal keeper situation.
On the books we have -
Simon Mignolet, who I believe just isn't good enough and should finally be sold on.
Loris Karius, young but talented and not ready to start every game, could do with learning from someone experienced playing cup games.
Danny Ward, Haven't seen him this season but have heard he's been doing alright again out on loan. I doubt he'd be ready to come in and be our first choice keeper though?

It's definitely a problem position and needs addressing, who would you guys be happy with being our first choice keeper?
I'd like to see Kasper Schmeichel come in for a few seasons. He's been solid, if unspectacular at Everton and could definitely do a job at a title chasing side.

Mignolet looks the best keeper we've got by quite some way. So in my opinion, keep Mignolet and bring someone in who can challenge him.

Karius was a Klopp signing and Klopp gave him every chance to become the number 1 and it would have looked good on him if he had because we've had a problem with our keepers for a while. In the end, Mignolet dispatched Karius easily and quickly.

I think we should sign a proper keeper to challenge Mignolet and give them both a chance to stake their claim.

Migs has had more than enough chances to prove he's shitte too and also succeeded. This is what happens when you buy a keeper on one good season.

Karius is plenty good enough for back up so dumping Migs makes the most sense to generate more money for his replacement. For me, this should be very close to the top of the priorities list for the summer.

Jasper looks like a good shout. Very vocal and comfortable Im goal. Maybe not the superstar his father was, but he is a safe pair of hands.

Price? Could be very expensive.

Lumba would be a more attractive option for FSG. They'd probably get paid to take him and he'd come for rock bottom wages... a weekly pint and a bag of crisps!
