Having a true footballing heart. No point in lying to the fans and feeding them false statements about where the club is going. BR done it. Accepted stacks of cash every week lied to fans then when he got sacked started talking. Klopp can either decide to be a man of footballing principles or a yes man. We will just have to wait and see what he is.

Steve Bruce left Hull as he knew that he was likely to be relegated with that squad.

That was more self preservation than morals.

Personally I don't believe that anyone in top flight has any morals whatsoever.

Morality is a rarity in football now I'm afraid.

Agree about BR, but to put Klopp in the same category is speculation. Klopp seems to be happy to try to find solutions withing the constraints he's working under. He seems to have a genuine belief in his methods.

Like I say Klopp is an employees manager who does well for the Club and not what's best for the fans. There's always gonna be conflict with that.

Having Mane in the team allows us to play with a different dimension, his pace means the opposition cannot play a high line against us which in turn frees up space for Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana which allows them to be more effective. Mane is also a genuine wide player, we don't have another one anywhere near his level in the squad.

I agree he adds an extra dimension, the priority for the summer should be to find other ways to play, like a player who can replace Mane and what he gives us similar with pace and stretching teams if he is not available.

I fear our problem is more than Mane being out, we did struggle against Sunderland with Mane, I feel we have ran off steam. That said, players have rested during our abysmal Jan, so maybe they are a bit fresher

I keep hearing we had Mane against Sunderland, what about all the other games where we battered teams when he played? Or do we only focus on the poor results and all of our victories are therefore rendered irrelevant?
