Today... We get it out of our system. Scream, shout and tear our hair out.

Tomorrow ... We have a day off. We go and do something less boring instead. Or simply take some deep breaths and perhaps do some yoga.

Monday... We adjust our expectations for the season. For our own health, I suggest we expect a massive defeat on Tuesday and subsequent freefall towards the relegation zone. We certainly don't expect a top 4 finish.

Tuesday... we watch in silence... except for those lucky enough to be at the ground(sing you b*!&$"!£!). Hopefully a surprise win will materialise.

Wednesday... The season starts again for us. We enjoy each game in isolation, let Klopp work in peace (if he hasn't got the message now he never will) and we'll just see where it takes us come May.

What say ye? whistle

What will you be adjusting your expectations from ,just out of interest, and bearing in mind we have been pretenders for the best part of quarter of a century

My expectation was to have a crack at top 4 which hasn't gone yet and won't have if we get beat on Tuesday.

Like most of us I believe, I expected a serious challenge for a top 4 position this year.

After we hit form and sustained it for a while, and given the problems the Manchester clubs were having, I raised my expectations. I thought we could comfortably finish in the top 4 and remain in contention for top spot going into the last 5 to 10 games. I obviously got carried away.

I don't think you got carried away,we are sat nicely in contention for the top four, we are more then capable of going on a winning run again, as are the others around us of a capitulation.

I had started to think about being in with a shout for the title going into April/May. I'm sure I wasn't the only one.

It's perhaps still possible but I don't think anyone would sensibly expect or predict that now.

A top 4 challenge is of course possible. But I won't be expecting it now.

Flip side of it. Think of this. Say we dont get top 4 this season wtf happens come the summer? Either FSG have to put up more money or klopp leaves (due to lack of transfer funds) and then fsg are forced out by the fans. Either way at the end of all this only good can come from it for the clubs long term. Id gladly sacrifice this season if i knew the clubs hands would be forced.
