This downturn in fortune may help us.

If we finish out of the top 4, it could quicken the departure of the Americans and we may get owners who will treat our club as befits a team in the Forbes top 10 most profitable teams in the world.

Another benefit, no cup finals means no having to watch Werner, John and Linda at another cup final.

Benefits you see.

Welsh you know nothing about Liverpool. Everything is perfect. We need to give the manager 10 years so he can build his team. In that time we will have enough time to buy a GK, LB, CB , CM, 2 wingers and a forward. In the meantime we can play Milner even when hes 40 at LB because the right players wont be available until then. Only then will there be value in the market. Im sure ragnor wouldnt mind staying on for a few more seasons as well with Lovren to gift other teams goals for fun.

Thats the consensus of some people in here welshy. They only see short term, first 20 games of a season, never the 38 or over 2/3 seasons. I did say this many moons ago about them running out of options and excuses. Doesnt matter what manager we have there the results will always be the same because the formula never changes.

It seems like we have no ambition or desire to be a successful club. If we look at the last seven seasons we've : won fck all, spent millions on average players and decided not to build a new stadium. It's the exact reason why our rivals are ahead of us, they seek to be a modern club, whilst we maintain our dinosaur methods from our stone age owners. So it's really difficult to be positive when we're not heading in a positive direction.

You seriously need to chill out.

Nobody at all on this forum has said anything remotely like the above. Name me one poster who has said everything is perfect? Name me one poster who has said we don't need to sign anyone?

I dont like singling out people who arent here to defend themselves. I was been sarcastic about the whole situation. Im as chilled as ice. Im as cold as Sam Allardyce. I knew this fall would happen and asked questions in the summer about it and constantly got shut down. Im not one to turn and say "i told you so" because i only care about the club not some spat with someone irrelevant to me on a forum. All im saying is chris Ive seen people defend lack of transfers and say it would be a bad thing if we didnt sign anyone. Well it is and we can all see that now.

If you look at some discussions you'll see posters who were defensive on certain subjects and were a lot more positive about the outlook of the club, these posters are now coming to terms with reality and not accepting the same excuses week in week out.

You need to back up what your saying though rather than having sarcastic digs at whoever it is your referring too.

I have never seen anyone defend a lack of transfers, what I have seen people say, myself included is that there is absolutely no point in buying for the sake of buying, it needs to be the right player. Is that not reasonable?

As for a little positivity where is the harm in that? If someone points out we've lost to Burnley, Bournemouth, Swansea and Southampton. Am I not entitled to say well yes but we've also beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City? It's called having a balanced view, nothing to do with being blinkered or having rose tinted glasses at all.
