And what will Klopp get fed up with? Himself? He's the one making the choices on who we sign so if we don't and we do fall away as the doom mongers are suggesting, he's only got himself to be fed up with.

ManU have sold Depay and Schneiderlin - and will probably spend some of that. Chelsea recalled Ake to bolster their defence- and he's had a good season. They also sold Van GInkel, Obi, Oscar and Bamford - so there might be a purchase in store too. None of the other top six managers are being as vocal as Klopp about the market - although Wenger will probably not bother as usual. Wouldn't be surprised if Spurs or City nabbed a player or two. All the teams directly below the six (Stoke, Everton, etc.) are strengthening.

But as Ecnirp stated - they're all deeper than us anyway.

As for Klopp. I think he has had a few targets that the club didn't get, like Gotze and a couple of others from the Bundesliga. They need to back him.

You've no idea what they're going to do just like no one else does. Just because they sold some fringe players doesn't mean they WILL buy.

But you're stating that they HAVE strengthened and if all they have done is get a loanee back then that's hardly a lot is it.

And how have the club not backed him? £36m on Mane, £25m on Gini. You don't know who we missed out on in the summer unless you're thinking that every link in the red tops is true? I believe we tried for Goetze but there was definitely money there for him as buying Mane for one proves so again, I'm not seeing how the club hasn't backed him?

The obvious lowering of expectations as the season goes on, like clockwork!

What were your expectations at the start of the season then?

Common man, a team bottom of the league beat us at home and it was not because we were unlucky but because they were the better side. We drew at Sunderland who I think were just above last and then got beat 4-0 in their next game. It is clear our squad is too small in terms of quality for a whole season. Can't see us stay in the top 4 with this squad.

Bournmouth Burnley Swansea and Sunderland all scored a few goals against us as well. It wasnt as if they shoed up and defended constantly for 90 mins and scrapped a 1-0 win. They actually played football for parts of the games and deserved the wins. The squad depth and quality is about 6/7/8 on the table. After that starting 11 which is good its all completely downhill after that for the majority of players.

Burnley parked the bus and only had about 20% possession. How is that playing well except for defending well?

Parking the bus is a system and a team can choose to do that while some others will attack and score but defend badly as we usually do. Doesn't mean those attacking gung ho is playing better than those who only defend. The winners are those who have played well unless there were some dodgy decisions by the refree. This is how I see it.

'It wasnt as if they shoed up and defended constantly for 90 mins'

This was the part of the post I was referring too. It's exactly what Burnley did but got 2 goals instead of the one mentioned.

Wilk your concentrating too much on the little things i was talking about. Its the fact Burnley scored 2, Bournmouth 4, sunderland 2 and swansea 3. Thats a joke well at least it should be for a team like Liverpool. None of Rodgers teams could defend and none of Klopps team could defend. The difference is, rodgers built his own defense and it failed and when klopp came he used the majority of the same defense and its still failing.

No matter what way we look at it, youve got to admit thats a really bad management mistake by Klopp. I think if we drop out of the top 4 this year, I think in the summer Klopp will have a meeting with FSG and it will be put out on the table we have to spend more money or Im gone because I cant do my job without the resources. Thats what I believe will happen whether Im right or wrong we'll have to see. I was wrong about Mane but I was right about contract talks the minute things went downhill.

I never thought we'd get another shot at a title tilt...up until November / December our attacking strengths put our defensive frailties in the shadows because we were winning and winning well.
The shallow quality depth of the team and Klopp's tactics have caught up with us. We have 2 x Number 2 Goalkeepers (Mignolet & Karius), 1 x Number 2 CB (Klavan) that was acquired to replace a Number 1 CB (Sakho). FSG told Klopp to sell before he buys and / or make do with what he had, they have not given a reasonable financial amount to strengthen the team.
We have 1 week left of the transfer window and if we don't use it, Top 4 will be an impossibility!

I love Klopp but he has to grow some balls and tell FSG how it is...the team is not adequate enough to make Top 4.
