Here is what we need to improve before we win a title.

1) A top class keeper. Mignolet or Karius fail to inspire the team.
Mignolet is quite good now I feel. Not ideal but he's doing quite well. When compared with Karius?

2) Stop playing square pegs in round holes. Milner is not a defender, neither is Lucas.
Milner has done well... but yes, he should only be a short term solution. Lucas is a good servant whistle ... to be fair, he has done well for us in the past, but yes... the team needs to develop to the next stage.Lucas is a good servant, but no other prem team would sign him?

3) Investment, our team is not good enough to win the title, we are short in all areas of the pitch.
No one expected Klopp to deliver a title so soon. Hopefully he's laying the foundations by starting with the mentality of the players and the approach of the team. Perhaps he will make quality additions slowly over a period of time.DEJA VU?

4) New owners, FSG don't care about the club, they are just in it for the money. We had a negative net spend in the summer, nothing this window, they are clearly more serious about the money than trophies. Time to get rid.
Be careful what you wish for. Look what that Paul Lim has done to Valencia... and he was one of the guys that was trying to buy LFC i think. I'd stick with FSG for now.Not that we have a choice?

5) Leadership. Nothing on the pitch, where is our. Gerrard, Keane, Adams, Souness, even Joey Barton would show more leadership than our bunch of prima donna's.
Hopefully, Klopp will develop someone soon.Hopefully, maybe, over time?

6) Anfield crowd, even Klopp mentioned it today, quieter than a library, hardly intimidating to the opposition.
It's all the long term season ticket who are now in their 50s, 60s and 70s. The likes of out Stan. You can't expect them to sing and shout. Need a policy to ensure that there's a new fresh element to the crowd every season.Maybe its because they know what's coming?

7) Too many average players. How many would get into past great Liverpool teams.
The past is the past. Don't compare. we have some decent players who do well and provide us with good entertainment. Let's enjoy it... but yes, we'd also like to see improvemnets. But people do compare with the past because usually the future provides improvements?

1. Yes, Migs is doing well compared to how Karius was playing when in the team. But generally he's doing ok too. Gieven issues elsewhere I suggest we don't have an urgent need to replace him. The next keeper needs to be at a higher level so we need to buy well when we do.

2. Lucas has been a good servant. FACT. End of. grin

3. Yes, Deja Vu indeed. Houllier wanted 3 years to reach the top. #we have Rafa 6. Rodgers got 3. Klopp will get time too. It's just the way it is unless we have financial clout to rival the big boys.

4. We do have a choice. The fans could mount a campaign against the owners. The fans could vote with their feet. Don't turn up or leave half way. etc. etc. And of course, we could get someone to fly a plane over the ground. But I wouldn't opt for any of that.

5. The leadership question is perhaps the most difficult. It takes time for a player to gain that special kind of respect and be able to command authority. Henderson is well repsected I believe but does not seem to authority.

6. Stan has already answered why he doesn't sing. He goes red and gets embarassed smile. I think we should get his season ticket cancelled grin

7. Football s like many other things. The economy, stocks and shares even civilisations. Things go in cycles. Circumstance change. etc. etc.

Past performance does not guarantee future results. You should not rely on any past performance as a guarantee of future investment performance.

There hasn't been a problem with Mignolet for quite a while. The problems this season with our keepers have been down to Klopp. He must have either overestimated Karius' ability, or underestimated the time it would take him to adapt. Either way Karius should never have taken over from Mignolet in the way he did.

I think your man was back to form again on Saturday, I just don't think he has the presence to be a good consistent keeper. Everytime the opponent shoots he just doesn't seem to get near it

Yes he should. Migs has proven over three seasons to not be good enough so we needed to try something else. Migs still isn't good enough and if he's here next year I think that will really be a bad sign.

Yes past performance doesn't guarantee future results but having a thin squad will make sure you will not be able to perform consistently over a season as you will have injuries and unfit players.

Another keeper may have saved one or both goals. In fact on another day Mignolet may have saved both. But they weren't errors. And it's not the goalkeeper giving away silly goals which are costing us vital points.

Looks like Begovic could be available. Now before we signed Mignolet I wanted begovic and still do think he would be a fantastic no1. We could sell Mignolet and let Karius develop then. I know Mignolet hasnt done a whole lot wrong this season but I wouldnt be surprised if he let us down in a big game like tomorrow night or the final if we were lucky enough to make it. He just has it in him unfortunately. I think chelsea might sell to us because we are no threat to them.

Karius for whatever reason was just not ready to take Mignolet's spot and the way it was done was strange. We needed someone better than Mignolet if we going to replace him. We haven't got anyone better so to me it makes sense to stick with him especially when he's in good form at the moment. And I think actually there aren't a lot of keepers that are better than Mignolet, certainly not with Premier League experience, and those that are will most likely be expensive.

If we're no threat to Chelsea then neither are any of the other sides based on this season so far.

Begovic was very good at Stoke, the same as Mignolet was very good at Sunderland. He hasn't convinced in the games he's played at Chelsea, he's a decent keeper yes but not a massive improvement in my opinion.
