I'm not blind and can see we lack real depth. But we're not as bad as some make out. I think we've proved that with Coutinho being out.
We're having a slump in form which was always going to happen. Every team goes through it and now is our time. Unfortunately it's couldn't have come at a worse time but we know we have the quality to get out of it so it's not all lost as some think.

As far as I know, none of the other top 6 teams have bought anyone (Jesus was bought in the summer). So where does this 'our rivals are strengthening' always come from?
And what will Klopp get fed up with? Himself? He's the one making the choices on who we sign so if we don't and we do fall away as the doom mongers are suggesting, he's only got himself to be fed up with.

The only thing you can say is that our top 4/6 rivals all started the season with stronger squads than ourselves, so we are playing catch up, Klopp did some good business in the summer and we are stronger now, but this will take time. I doubt Klopp will bring anyone in this transfer Window now, I expect us to do our signings in the summer, even then I do not think he will want to bring in too many players as he has stated, so some aren't gonna be happy here !!!

[quote=RedsforChampions][quote=wilkij1975]Of course it is Shaggy. We lost a game.
But it is acceptable. Otherwise it wouldnt of happened again just like the Burnley loss, Bournmouth loss and plymouth draw if you want to add that in. If it was a fluke win we could sort of deal with it but its the fact swansea came to Anfield scored 3 goals and deserved to win the game which isnt acceptable. I don't think anyone has or is saying it's acceptable. But most of us are adult enough to put a game of football into perspective. It was a bad result yet we're still top 4 and we can still challenge to stay there or better as there's still a long way to go. People always say that this league is the most competitive in the world and that anyone can beat anyone else yet when it happens to us it shouldn't have. Still top 4 yet some weeks ago we were pushing Chelsea in second now we're just being over taken Our rivals are also dropping points, only Chelsea are winning games consistently, I think this will continue to the end of the season, I can also see Chelsea having a wobble, but I can't see any of the other teams being consistent enough to take advantage. Will be interesting when the CL/EL starts up again, that's the big advantage Chelsea have.

We are 2 points from second, Arsenal got second by a 97th minute penalty, all top 6 teams are going to drop points to the end of the season, the teams fighting for their PL survival will not be easy to beat, as we found out with Swansea.

And what will Klopp get fed up with? Himself? He's the one making the choices on who we sign so if we don't and we do fall away as the doom mongers are suggesting, he's only got himself to be fed up with. ManU have sold Depay and Schneiderlin - and will probably spend some of that. Chelsea recalled Ake to bolster their defence- and he's had a good season. They also sold Van GInkel, Obi, Oscar and Bamford - so there might be a purchase in store too. None of the other top six managers are being as vocal as Klopp about the market - although Wenger will probably not bother as usual. Wouldn't be surprised if Spurs or City nabbed a player or two. All the teams directly below the six (Stoke, Everton, etc.) are strengthening. But as Ecnirp stated - they're all deeper than us anyway. As for Klopp. I think he has had a few targets that the club didn't get, like Gotze and a couple of others from the Bundesliga. They need to back him. So our rivals selling players means they've strengthened? That makes sense.

I can see there being some transfer business, near the end of the Window, 1 transfer will trigger another as teams replace sold players, like when we sold Torres then had to buy Carroll quickly.
If someone came in with a decent bid for Sturridge, I can see us selling and then bringing some in, same with Sakho, I also think we will sell Lucas.

8 days with a pocket full of change is a long time, mate. Try to keep up!
You keep saying our rivals have strengthened, I've asked you 3 or 4 times to explain who and how. None of the other 5 teams in the top 6 have bought so far this window.

Maybe they had a bigger squad in the 1st place and maybe they haven't lost players to afn cup or had major injuries or lost form ? Maybe so, but KopProphet keeps stating our rivals are strengthening, then when questioned on this disappears. As I've stated many times none of the Top 6 have strengthened so far this window.
