is he any good? I just can't make up my mind whether he's great, poor, or average with possible potential. What's the general opinion on him?

Squad player with potential, again he should not be a first regular in a top 4 team until he can show that he is more consistent. We need an upgrade in the summer

He can be great. In a great team. This side has a long way to go in terms of personnel and Can would be great in a better side.

Very frustrating player. He was looking better and better last year but really dropped off since. We do need someone else in the first team right now, but he's a big, powerful precense and the potential's there.

He can be great. In a great team. This side has a long way to go in terms of personnel and Can would be great in a better side. He is one of the weakest links, so don't understand how he can be better in a better team. If he is, it won't be because of him but others, no?

I like him. He is a good tackler and he has a good engine on him. He is a steady performer who gives 100% every game. I don't see him as a weak link at all. Definitely one of those players you would rather see on your team sheet than that of your opponents.
Only just turned 23 and we haven't seen him at his peak. He was an absolute steal at around £10m and for me could still be a captain of the team in future. Fabulous attitude and I don't remember ever seeing a Liverpool player in floods of tears like he was at the end of the Europa League final.
If fit he will always be in the squad. Unfortunately if unfit and playing now and then on his return people will always look to get at him at the first available opportunity.
Again some of the negativity on here defies belief. Emre Can deserves better.

Can does seem to take a while to get back upto speed after being out, he's a good player, needs to add more goals to his game, he has a good shot on him.
