Watching Spurs lately - most of their assists seem to come through Ericksen - I reckon he's better than Kane. Spurs beat Chelsea. Conti is praising Spurs as title contenders.
I don't rate Spurs at all, their side is ok and their manager is weak. Chelsea have an excellent squad but Conti is only half as good as Klopp.
Liverpool can seriously win the Premier League this season. I really believe this.
If we make some REAL signings this month, not "potential" of "starlets" FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...still swearing here...rrrrrrrrrrrr......
Fook me we are a close second at the start of 2017 and we can beat our main rivals to the title if we have a solid squad of 16 first team players, plus the other guys. We are 4 short of that in my opinion.
Spurs have an excellent team, player for player better than ours. Probably only 2-3 of our first 11 would get in theirs. I agree we can win it though, they have better players but we have the better manager and usually the team with the best manager wins. Agree, Spurs has a better team than ours and there 2 best players Kane and Delle Ali cost them close to nothing. Yeah, I never knew why we never bought Erikson, we were linked to him for a few years, Jan Molby had spoke highly of him, so I'm sure we had good contacts, we had spoken to Alli as well, he met Rodgers in a hotel when he was at MK and their manager was an ex Liverpool coach who recommended him, we nearly signed him, could have got both for less than £20 million combined !!! Tottenham are a very good all round team, I think they will challenge again, probably the best defence in the PL, but I think we are better attacking.

Rodgers wanted both of them but the transfer committee didnt approve of it. 2 huge players we missed out on unfortunately. Its even harder watching now with Alli running the show for spurs in recent weeks.

You can't compare Eriksen to Kane as they are completely different players playing in different positions.

Harry Kane would get in our team no doubt, I don't think Eriksen would. Different positions yes, but if I could choose one to sign it would definitely be Kane.

Despite a clear under-estimation of Spurs and Chelsea in my opinion in the OP, I firmly believe we're in for the challenge. Whether we need to invest now to make it happen I don't know, but I highly doubt Chelsea will manage a similar run into the latter stages of the year, and we've yet to hit a similar run. As long as we remain in touching distance into April, anything is possible.

Whether we need to invest now to make it happen I don't know, but I highly doubt Chelsea will manage a similar run into the latter stages of the year, and we've yet to hit a similar run. As long as we remain in touching distance into April, anything is possible. Don't think we have the squad and our system really exhaust players, those available on the bench are not of similar quality. Chelsea has a much better overall squad, for example Kante out means Fabregas in.

Klopp spoke of Hendersons injury in a press conference yesterday and said he had a good chance of being back for the united game. I doubt he would freely admit a bad injury, but he wouldn't lie, suggesting that, knowing other information.

Here’s what Jurgen Klopp had to say about the Reds captain:
“He has this issue with the heel which meant we had to take him out for a while but he’s already on the way back.
He has no chance for this weekend and there will be no risk for the Southampton game but after that it’s absolutely possible that he will be back."
