Doesn't Koeman just strike you as a manager there on the step ladder on his way up, he's made a few comments about Lukaku going to a bigger & better club etc, he doesn't seem committed long term to me, If I was an Everton fan I would not be happy with his approach/persona, maybe he is disillusioned with what he has, compared to what he was sold/promised to leave Southampton?

think Everton are a stepping stone for Koeman especially if he does well however I see Liverpool as being a stepping stone with Klopp if he continues to improve too. I think unfortunately it's a vicious circle with players and managers with clubs like ours in that midlish table area if we produce anybody good bigger more powerful clubs will just take them so building anything is virtually impossible...

That maybe the case, but Klopp does not show that, he is passionate for Liverpool and is giving his all, focused on that, Koeman does not show the same for Everton.

I expected the toffs to win that game if I am honest, Everton this season was all about rebuilding in my opinion, I think they were always going to finish between 6th and about 9th last nights result won't change that. I think they were a bit unfortunate in that this new owner and Ronald Koeman came in a bit late for the summer transfer window so next season will be a better time to judge them when Koeman has his own players in, got them playing his way and they are more settles also when this foreign investor has splashed more of his cash. I think we should hold fire in having a go at the toffs for the simple facts the three favourite teams in the league to be relegated at the start of the season Hull City, Burnley and Bournemouth we have already lost to two of them already so let's not get too carried away. I fully expect the battle for places 5th to 8th to be really competitive next season with Spurs, Liverpool, Everton, Southampton, West Ham, Stoke and West Brom all in the mix...just my opinion...

Your team is shyte this season and is not going to change much next season

Klopp could have gone to Real Madrid if he wanted, so no stepping stone for him, you are right about your club manager though.

Klopp is here for the long haul I'm afraid spongles. As much as I'm sure you'd love it if he left so we can be a mid table team again, it ain't going to happen.

Am sure he does genuinely feel enormous affection for the club and would not be tempted by offers to lure him away to ALMOST ALL of the big,big clubs; the exception unfortunately being Bayern, who are most likely to come for him at some time, prob the summer after next.
He still has things to settle in his homeland, particularly with some of the media. Have to remember that in his last season at BVB he had the second best team on paper and they were languishing just above the relegation zone for most of the season until a decent run took them up to a 6th or 7th place finish. This is when clubs such as Arsenal who were monitoring him thought that he may not be a safe pair of hands that after all.

Could he goto Bayern after being at BVB? wouldn't it be like Fergy coming to Liverpool? would that be accepted in Germany?

Lucky for us then, definitely the Arses loss.

Ok I'll qualify it by saying winning the champions league here would do the job but fact is not all the German press considered him a miracle worker and he was interviewed for the Hamburg job while at Mainz and got knocked back. The bit about the interview was published somewhere ( in print as opposed to a forum) - it may not be true, may have been exaggerated. I don't remember where I read it but there is no reason for me to make it up.
