right ive read all your posts about rafa, as i see it i dont know if im happy he as gone or not. The man could probably walk in to any top job in europe, he as a great football brain and managed teams which have dominated europe's elite. Led us to Istanbul, f.a cup, super cup and charity shield. plus another champions league final and league cup final. Also great European nights, the games against Real, juve, barca battering besiktas 8 nil just 2 weeks after they beat us.
Obviously my head is not stuck in the clouds and this season as been woeful. when you lose the dressing room like he did there is no way back and for that i know he had to go.
My fear is now the club could go in to free fall. if we sign an average joe manager then i think its us done for may years to come.I know there are calls for hodgson and o'neil but for me they are no better than rafa. won nothing compared him. King kenny might be ok as a temporary role but he is not going to attract big names to the club with out champions league football. i really do fear for whats a head for us and hope we dont end up looking back and regretting this day. good luck rafa but think we might need it more.......

Ceb, Fear is understandable in the short term but not when you look beyond that horizon. We may have to endure another poor season with a new manager who fails who knows? The crux is the sale of the club. We maybe another manager down as a consequence of the eventual sale. Look at Manchester City.

I am expecting for some more upheaval but if it means we are eventually rid of the owners and start on a more professionally run club with the ambitions to succeed that we all expect then so be it.

Raffa is a good manager, but it appeared clear that the Premier league appeared just beyond his grasp and no one can say that his main failing was a number of suspect fringe player signings that were desperately needed to produce when that freshness was required mid season and never did.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
