As much as i wanted to see the back of Rafa , u have to admit it was handy all the spanish connections he had and the influence he had in bringing them in, i have no doubt if he stayed on he woulda went after Mata in the summer, hopefully we still do

we have no idea who the manager will be so no point speculating what players will be targeted, especially as money avail and owners are all factors.

i just want to say well done to him for not dragging it out to get more money out of the club - would have preferred him to take nothing ...... but still it is good that it is all sorted quickly and the club can move (hopefully) forward

i think him being away from the spotlight in italy with his wife probably helped in the decision making process.

I'm not sure whether to be sad or to be happy........I liked the guy and he was good for us but last year just seems to tint the whole 6 years. I think if it wasn't for last season then he would still be here.
