Clyne, Lalanna and Mid Table are all doing alright in my book. If they're good enough, it doesn't matter where they come from.

Van Dyke isnt the answer to solve our defensive answers. We really need to stop running to Southampton at every opportunity. Yes the players we got off them have improved but their not world class with maybe the exception of Mane who has been sublime this season and shocked a lot of people.
We need steel and blood and leadership in defense. Someone who can organize the whole backline. If you look back on what Liverpool always had was always great CB's, Hansen & lawrenson , Hughes , Hyypia and carragher. I feel thats missing from our team today. So if it's not van Dyke then who is it according to you? Matip is top class, so we just need one good CB added to the squad. With Sakho clearly on the way out I can't see us not replacing him with a top defender in January. Matip wasn't top class today especially with the second goal, turns like the titanic, gonna be interesting next game with Kloppsys choice of goalie, a lot will tell us if Klop is the right man if he keeps him in goal then he's stubborn and not the right manager but if he changes it will show he's not afraid to admit a mistake, all the great managers accepted making mistakes so we shall see....

The only one who has been close to that level has been Mane whos been one of the best players in the last few months. Im glad ive been eaten my words and hes proved me wrong but id prefer to see us with something different rather than keep going back to the same club. We need to change it up a bit. If we got someone like Matip on a free then surely theres more players across europe we could sign cheap enough. Matip has all the things to be a superstar for us if he has the right partner at CB and the right person between the sticks.

And replace him with who? Manninger? Not even half way through his debut season and your saying Klopp should drop him?

With Sakho clearly on the way out I can't see us not replacing him with a top defender in January. We've tried the Southampton thing before and it hasnt really worked. We are looking to buy a player who is with a team whos 9/10/11 in the league and expect him to solve the defensive crisis. Matip will be excellent for us when he has a run of games for us but who hes partnered with needs to be someone of the same caliber. I think 20 million for a defender shouldnt be frowned upon because they are just as important as forwards. We need to look elsewhere outside the PL and have a list of strong CB's who we possibly could sign. I think we will be looking elsewhere for a defender. What defenders in the premier are there that we could possibly buy that might improve us? Unless Klopp really wants a player like Mane. Then I don't think he will be spunking 30-40m on a Southampton defender.

Any of those three wouldn't look out of place in any team in this league on this seasons performances. I'd say it's more about the defense for us at the moment and mainly Lovren.
Matip got caught out for their second but has been more than solid but Lovren has been letting us down. We're still scoring so if we can sort that out, then we can have a good crack at it.

I think it's time to stop saying Milne is doing ok etc etc we need a top lb and we need a top striker! keeper well we just bought one so we're not going to go get another but the other two positions are very important IMO and should be looked at in Jan window ? the full back at Burnley is supposed to be decent don't know his name and as for up front the Spaniard who plays for Swansea would do us...is it Lorente

It would be a massive waste to buy a couple of top players and have Karius still in net. All the extra goals scored by a top expensive striker would easily be neutralised by Karius' mistakes.

The last two weeks have shown how weak our squad is as soon as we've had a couple of injuries. I've listed our subs bench from today and when we need a winning goal who can we turn too?
Subs: Mignolet, Moreno, Lucas, Klavan, Alexander-Arnold, Ejaria, Woodburn.
Sturridge has done his usual disappearing act with a 'no return date' injury, the sooner we get rid of unreliable players the better! I don't know what the future holds for him or Danny Ings because we just can't rely on them.
We've had a good start to the season but we really need to reinforce if we want to finish in the top 4. Bearing in mind we are going to lose Mane to the ACON at the beginning of 2017 as well.
Who do we have injured in the defending department? This is where we have a problem.
