FLAMES lfc AINT POMPey, we can handle a loss of 10 million.

That is what is rightfully the coaches share, in his contract.

Why should he not take it?

I rather rafa have it, than let the yanks blow it in one month on intrst:)

A Golden handshake:))

i WONT leave it, i will fight for the most money cos that is what is in my contract, and i have a right to it.

Hicks can fork out money from his other business, but like hell if i was rafa i wont leave it.

Keagen loved newcastle, he fought.

What is due to you, what you entitled to, you must fight!!

Ok lets consider an alternative then, instead of paying up his full salary, we may as well keep him employed, except move him to manage the reseves. Still gonna have to pay the 16m anyway, so may as well keep him doing something smile

You see the point yet? It is in both parties interests that he takes less money, and can move on. If you have to pay someone their full salary for the next 4-5 years, then you may as well get them doing something.

you don't have an open ended contract you have a 4 week notice period probably - depends on the contract. Foootball managers contracts are drawn up very differently.

If its in his contract that he gets full pay then that's what he should get

If the club pay him his full due, which legally, they must do if he is sacked, then they have the right to prevent him working for anyone else for the duration of his Liverpool contract. Obviously, that is not in anyone's interest, so the negotiation is about compromise, how much Rafa can get, whilst retaining the right to take another job.

It would never make sense for you to pay someone their full salary and then let them walk. So it always makes sense for both parties to come to some agreement for less money. This IS how it works in industry.

He hasnt been sacked, it has been mutual consent, that why he aint entitled to 16million.

They negotiated the 6 million.

I dont think a coach like Rafa will tolerate sitting in the reserves earning the same salary as a manager, that is effectively a demotion. And these angles are covered in his contract for sure. What a disgrace to demote him to the reserves just so that you can continue using him instead of paying him out? lol demote. lol, that happens when guys misbehave in huge coporations here.

Whatever the case, he is 6 million up and free to join inter milan.
