It really annoys me how a player who has already had one injury this season is made to play in a meaningless game after playing in a qualifier just days before.
The guy was motm v Scotland so what else was going to be learned? Rooney was out so Henderson played as captain putting another of our players at risk.
Bang on the money this. Friendlies should be used to try out players who aren't first choice. If we look at the team that started last night, why were the likes of Hart, Rose, Cahill, Stones, Henderson, Sterling, Lallana, etc selected? What's the point of having a squad of players if your only going to give them 10 minutes at the end of the game? (Aaron Cresswell) What can we possibly learn about him from that cameo? Look at the Spain team last night, pretty much all of their regular starters were left out. I know a few of them were injured but they wouldn't have started anyway.

So when will the first team players play together, only in qualifications and training? They need to get used to play with each other in proper games. Now if it is the same team and manager for a long time, then ok otherwise they need to play together
