Well has he been sacked or just been offered an amount to walk away? Why would he go for 3 mill given that we owe him 16 mill?

surely it doesnt work like that there must be something in his contract that should state having been given all the power he requested i.e. transfers,youth team etc,if you fail after all this you will be liable for the sack,so surley the club wont have to pay so much to him.i for one am quite satisfied with his sacking,now we might be able to play some real attacking football rather than the sh** we came up with all last season.I am also hoping his sacking has come round as there could be new owners waiting in the wings that didnt want rafa to spend any money put up for transfers.(i hope this is the case anyway)

protesting what? the fact rafa is gone or the way he's been sacked? Because of the totally disgraceful way that the board have handled this situation in the last 12 hours or so and it would also appear that Rafa does have quite a strong fanbase regardless what people write on here. Yep, he had a good offer from Juve but fecked them around as he wanted his payout from us. Then when Juve pulled the plug, he had to stay and now has no where to go. He should have concentrated on getting the team playing well, not where his next millions were coming from.
Having said that though, the club could have done things better. It should never have been allowed to go this far.

i heard he offerd money, not sacked.
If he is sacked, we got a very eventful summer ahead, firstly to try and convince the big boys t stay, andthen to attract a tp coach, a coach who is willing to handle the lack of funds.
Only Kenny will do for me now, unless the club have a surprise.

perhaps the board didn't want to sack him untill they got a good manager to take over. Maybe that's why it's only happened now as they found the next manager.
Or (I hope its this one) the new owners don't want Rafa to stay as they have their own man in mind who will spend their millions wisely.
