The whole timing of this stinks and every member of the board should be disgusted with the way they've treated Rafa not only with this latest episode but the whole Klinsman affair as well but this time it just stinks. Point one Rafa is on holiday and out of the country. Point two the reports of player unrest are going to go un answered as the majority of senior players are now away with their national squads and wont be available for comment.

Regardless of wether you like Rafa or not this is a disgraceful and embarrassing way for the club to act and to be quite honest I'm totally f**king ashamed with the way this whole situation is being handled and quite honestly feel like never watching or reading about Liverpool again and until every member of this current board f**ks off.

i think things deteriorated fom both sides murph and are not being handled well by the board or the manager. fck the lot of them out i say.

players totally can comment. they are interviewed all the time, and the WC hasnt started yet. its going to be an ugly few days, but its been ugly for the last year, hopefully it comes to something good.

i agree it should have been done earlier. on the other hand it seems like rafa was only playing a waiting game to get what he wanted (the full payment).

id say raffa is just as dirty and crafty as the rest of them.

rafa has been hawking his services round to the highest bidder all last season - he is just as at fault as the board

Capello has banned them from discussing transfers and their clubs until the WC is over. I pressume thats the same as other Countries.

The board should have had the f**king balls to put an end to this after the last game of the season not turn into f**king jellyfish and not act like a punch of pussies.

rafa is just as "guilty" in this situation murph. he's been saying since the hull game he's planning to stay yet it seems like the past month has been all about negotiating his final payments.

and when it comes to players not talking about their club i'm sure the spanish players will leave a comment. reina was talking about gerrard earlier today so im sure there will some reaction from him and torres in the coming days.

the players should keep their mouths shut and concentrate on what they are played to do - let's face it most of them are too stupid to have a useful opinion anyway!

yes the board have messed about but that's because they knew rafa was trying to get the juve and inter jobs and expected him to have buggered off of his own accord saving them having to pay him off and maybe even getting compo to get shut
