And his first season?? 7th I believe?? Last season was wasted as soon as Rodgers was kept on and then Klopp came in to pick up the pieces.

I think we're lucky to have got 8th after the appalling start and did absolutely brilliant to reach 2 finals, a feat which Rodgers never did, with Rodgers team.

I know it hurts that Rodgers has left but your selective memory and bashing of our new manager who is clearly a better manager with a much better track record is very tiresome.

I don't like Rodgers being brought up in threads particularly. He had his time and failed miserably and is the past. Lets leave it there. But I choose to ignore it so why not do the same?

I don't recall anyone being OK with it. In case you've forgotten, Rodgers wasted 8 games of last season for us so we were probably lucky to reach 8th as I'm sure we'd have struggled for top 10 with Brenda.

The first 8 games weren't too bad when you consider Klopp actually made the situiation even worse by losing 3 on the bounce shortly after coming in and having an even worse points to games ratio.

And our end to last season was even worse than our start so I would go as far as to say Klopp benefited from that start, and he even said when he came in he was surprised at how many points we had considering the manager had been sacked.

Rodgers had never finished below 7th, never finished on 60 points which Klopp managed in his first season, but Rodgers would have probably struggled to finish 10th???? delusion

We won three of our first 8 games last season and two of those were just scraping past Bournemouth and a shocking Villa. I'm also failing to see where we lost three league games in a row and in Klopps first 8 we won 3 games, beating both City and Chelsea at home.

If we look at the terrible end to the season we won 4 of our last 8 so better than the first 8 games.

We were also 10th when Rodgers got the sack so by law of averages we would've finished 10th no?

And to say Rodgers never finished as low as 60 points is correct but only by 1. His first seasons 7th place finish was on 61 points. Hardly cause for celebration is it?

So in reality they're much the muchness would you not say? But Klopp has the track record which is why people like him and think he'll be good for us.

I know Klopp has lost his last 5 or 6 finals I think.

It is quite funny that you've hit back at the Celtic thread by criticising Klopp, our current manager and defending Rodgers, our ex-manager. Brendan FC is who you really support, no?

You're just a bit cringy, especially with your avatar

Losing 7- 0 is a shambolic result for Celtic FC. But Rodgers has a history of being terrible in Europe. His 6-1 loss to Stoke also shows that this was not a fluke. He got lucky with having Suarez in his team. To think what Klopp could do with Suarez in our team. There would definitely be trophies won.

Klopp isn't a tactician like Rodgers, he's a motivator, he only knows how to play one way. I don't think Klopp would have been the right man for Suarez. Suarez was already so determined and driven, he needed a tactician to build a team around him, and a Rodgers-style manager would have been better I feel.

We've seen Klopp doesn't change his system when we can't break a team down, he changes personnel and instills great mental qualities into his team.
