Yep, the type of news outlets publishing these stories are not the speculation type, these are business stories, not football stories, but takeovers are complicated and companies have to be very careful legally with speculation etc due to their impact on business, so I think we will know when there is a confirmed takeover/investment.

I expect Everbright to take a majority share with FSG remaining involved as a lesser shareholder, to help run the club with their experience of sports management, especially in the States and Everbright in Asia, we have 2 massive markets covered with huge resources to raise LFC profile globally.

Don't think the Chinese would be stupid enough to leave FSG running a football club, over the last 6 years they've shown that their only competence is in the financial end of it. As for football they've proven beyond doubt they haven't got a clue.

And will the Chinese have any more of a clue? Or does having a clue just mean spending £50m plus on players?

I agree FSG do not have a clue on football, they should not be running the football side of the club, that should be the manager/Director of Football (if there is one) job. That has been FSG's problem from the start with their committee's, now we have Klopp in charge it appears so far he is doing that, as it should be.

Where FSG have done well is on the business side, improving Liverpool commercially with sponsorship/increasing the ground capacity/commercial deals etc. They have took a £300 million investment and it is now worth £1 billion, so they know what they are doing commercially in a sports club.

I do not know much about Everbright, but I have never seen them mentioned as experienced sports administrators, whereas FSG are. Also, FSG have access to the US Market, which is going to be huge in Global football, Everbright have access to Asia, specifically China, which will be one of the biggest Football markets in the world, so Liverpool having key access to both these markets will give us a great advantage on the world stage.

Fvck the potential commercial revenue fsg, CIC , Tom dick & Abdul might bring to LFC..

I only interested in football minded people running LFC who's end goal is winning major trophies, starting with winning the EPL title for the 1st time in 26 plus years

That would be nice, the days of the local boy done well in business owning the club are gone, these are huge businesses now. The buyers of the clubs still want that success, if anything they will be more demanding as they are used to being successful in international business, so failure to them is not what they expect.

Hopefully who ever owns us runs the business and leaves football matters to the management team.

Are Everbright football minded people? Do they run or have any concerns in sport or football? Although a lot richer, these people could be exactly the same as FSG in wanting to rinse the brand for everything it has with very little expenditure.

It's dangerous to just think that because they're not FSG and they have loads of money that it means instant spending and success.

You are 100% right in saying it would be stupid to think this group could come in and just do all the good things, because they could end up doing what FSG have been currently doing.

But, what do we do? Stay and sit in fear because this group could be worse? We cant continue this way and style under the current ownership. We've gone backwards under FSG. I just want to say f*k everything like stands and fancy fast foot deals. On the pitch we've been a failure and they are just as involved as the players and the manager/managers.

We need a change, and the only thing we will regret is the things we dont do. This will be something liverpool as a club could regret. I know FSG are business people and are playing hardball with some of the investors and I would do the same if i was in their position as a business person. But their time is up. We can just be paralyzed in the thinking that if we change owners it could be worse.

FSG as owners have been doing the same thing over and over at the club with 0 results to show for it. A lucky 2nd place finish, a EL final and a trophy in the form of a league cup. Theres a saying that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Thats what Liverpool owners have been doing. Different manager different players same formula= same failure of results.

I'm not for one minute suggesting that I'd be happy for FSG to stick around. It's just that some seem to think that them going is the best thing for us when in fact it could be a lot worse. I'm just cautious about it all but hopeful if someone like Everbright did come in they'd be a lot better.
