I think you can only start to judge Rafa on his signings from this season onwards as before he has had to build a whole squad from scratch and has not till now had the luxury of buying a couple of players to provide cover or improve a particular position.

He also has not (and still doesn't) have the spending power to go and buy whoever he wants but even still I think Rafa till now has done brilliantly with the resources he has had.

Every manager makes mistakes, including Rafa. Who would have thought that Keane will stumble on the ball 5 times in each match and miss so many sitters?

look at the way Wenger buys his players, almost none of them were proven.

Suarez has been AWESOME this season. he is not just a goal scorer, he's also a playmaker. he scored 22 goals, and 14 assists. he plays as a right winger and his delivery is excellent.

Pranjic is also a very good player, and for 8m he might be a very useful option.

do you remember when Rafa wanted to buy Benayoun? and we all felt that buying Benayoun would be a step backwards. we all thought that Babel is the one who would get more matches, and Benayoun is just a squad member who will play in the odd match.

now he's at the final month of his second season in liverpool, and it turned out to be that Benayoun was the better deal.


Trust Rafa, but don't worship him. he does mistakes, but he has done miracles too.

like you say, trust Rafa. He may be many things but he's no mug. Why else would fergus, maureen etc be on his back all the time? Only for the simple fact that they know he is a class act and they feel/felt threatened! and they bloody well ought to be!

I agree. Make no mistake that Ferguson was s***ing in his pants this season.. we will push him all the way next season.. this will be the last season of buying 3-4 players. next season onwards we will be spending 25 million plus on world class additions.

Trouble with youtube clips are that they make everyone look great.

I could look great on a youtube clip a couple of kick ups a few step overs and then a shot into the back of the goal there you go people will think I'm amazing. Thats not counting the ones that already think that though :D:D:D:D:D

can i just say i never read any posts in this before i wrote this.
are you absolutely stupid? who the [oops] are pranjic and suarez? just sound like more average players to me. If they were good I would have heard of them by now.

However, if we do get them and they end up being the missing bits to the jigsaw, fair play to ya
