Flanagan's completed his loan move to Burnley I see. Good luck to the lad and hopefully he'll do well and come back better for us.

Hopefully this means we're getting a new LB!! (I know he's a RB but he's covered there quite well in the past)

I wonder if he's played his last game for us or not. He's going to have to impress at Burnley. Hopefully there is a left back on the market we can get.

I actually thought that myself. We are really short at the back and hes a young player who has 40 games played for us and the majority at LB. It seems unusual for him to be allowed leave on loan so maybe its a test to see if klopp thinks hes good enough for Liverpool.

One thing that did worry me was when i watched him last season he seemed to lose a yard of pace, which wouldnt be uncommon because of the injury hes had. It could also be down to match fitness as well, but this loan move should do him good regardless.

If he can get a full season under his belt and put his injury problems behind him this can only benefit LFC. He only signed a new contract last season so he has an LFC future, this is a good opportunity for Flanagan to play week in week out in the Premiership.

I have never thought Flanagan was good enough for our 1st team.

We are so desperate for the next home grown talent to emerge, another Gerrard, Carra, Owen, Fowler, McManaman that we laud homegrown youth players even if they are not up to the job.

People criticise Moreno yet Flanagan in contrast has no pace, attacking awareness or technical ability, yet he is lauded as being a great player.

I'm sad and a bit surprised about this.
Good player and developing nicely.

A full back's primary job is too defend, Moreno cannot defend to save his life and Flanagan can. I really couldn't care about a lack of pace, attacking awareness or technical ability as long as the lad can defend. We have a midfield and attack to take care of the attacking side of things. Defenders are there to defend.
