I've not had chance to watch a minute of our pre-season friendlies this year, unfortunately. Can anyone give me an idea as to who's been playing well and who's struggling?
I don't think anyone could honestly tell you whose been struggling as such anyway darcus (however they will be able to tell you some youngsters who have been doing well), since these games are only building up fitness ofc, and the results were apparently secondary. and I think klopp more wants us to judge on the milan game rather than roma, everyone is happy to give him and our team the benefit of the doubt that this is the minimum level of performance we should see.
I have found the pre-season games totally perplexing. Mostly slow and disjointed play and constant changing of players and the games have been woeful to watch.
Giving as many players a run-out as possible is great, but two weeks before the season starts, I would have expected 70 minutes of game time for our expected staring 11 against Roma. And i would have expected more fluency and pace, regardless of the temperature that day.
Hopefully we will see some better stuff against Barca this weekend.
