Good news, I hope Liverpool are now monitoring players better in what they are taking, as Sakho admitted to taking the fat burner.

He must be pretty annoyed to see his country in the Uefa final that he may have played in if he hadn't been provisionally withdrawn due to the investigation.

hahaha I know what you mean, but I think we best let it lie now and move ok, we've got off with a close call, and if we go up against Uefa they will only use it against us sometime in the future, they hate English clubs anyways, so don't give them more ammo.

We have just extended Anfield so we qualify for hosting Finals/Tournament games, so I am sure a deal would have been done due to our poor treatment in this. If anyone should sue it would be Sakho missing out on the Euro's, with the injuries the French have he would get a game in the final.

yeah on a personal level he missed the europa and euros and what not. should file for damages if nothing else . his career was on the line ffs

I agree, it's crazy it all went in the press and public knowledge before any enquiry/hearing, Uefa need to look at their procedure, a player should not be banned or any info made public until they are investigated and found guilty.

He still appears to have took a tablet for fat burning without checking it with the club, so silly behaviour from an experienced professional athlete, so he is partly responsible for putting himself into this situation.

I think it is too complicated to keep that kind of news secret for such a long time, footballers are public figures one way or the other. How would the club or his country have explained his absence? Too many people end up knowing (EUFA, his club, his collegues, etc) for the press to stay in the unknown.

What an absute fukk up by UEFA! How can they not know what is on their banned list? If I were Sakho I'd be looking at some form of legal action.

I'd also like to think that all those who were so quick to condemn him without all the facts are ashamed of themselves and learn not to be so stupid next time, if there is a next time!
