The only I've seen Witsel playing for Belgium. I believe he is the type of player we need. He is a very good DM. He helps the back 4 and distributes the ball very well. I didn't know we were linked with him. I thought Stoke city were favorites to sign him. I would be very happy if we signed him. Think the only thing to be done after that is a LB.

Witsel is better than emre , Allen Lucas Milner Stewart as a DM

I think this is the problem. We believe Emre Can is a DM he is not. We are also told well Allen can play DM not every game at the lvl we need vs every team. Milner is a winger who wants to play central not even close to comparable. Now Lucas I love but I think many would like an upgrade even though he plays with the passion we want to see. I still think bringing a DM in we can still keep Lucas and find game time for him. Stewart looked very promising at the end of last season. He will need time to develop. The new young Serbia I heard was more like Can and Henderson so I don't think he will be our answer at DM. Although have have seen 0 of the new kid from Serbia.

I am not obsessed with finding a DM, sometimes u sign one and thats all they can do.. Demebele at spurs is class and can do everything. Lucas is very limited player, allen is good but can be swarmed on the back foot, can has a lot of learning to do. Witsel looked very comfortable on the ball but there was a bit of a flaky air to his game.
