THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SOTON PLAYERS WE HAVE BOUGHT
clyne, lovren and lallana are all key players for us now
when will people stop with this blind assumption that they play for soton so they are rubbish
the players bar lambert have all been great signings for us... bloody hell i swear some people dont watch football at times Clyne has been the only good signing from Southampton. Lovren and Lallana have been key players since they signed, two seasons ago. Can I ask you our league positions in those two seasons? 6th and 8th for the record. If your happy finishing in those positions then fine, they are good enough. If we want to improve and challenge for the Top 4 and hopefully more then no they aren't good enough, that's been proven over the past two seasons. They were also hugely over-priced and were bought off the back of one good Premiership season each. so you are just going to blatantly look away from them being top players for us... thats a typical fan of ours for you....

Lovren can be a top four player. but matip will have something to say about that I think

Top players in your opinion for a team that finished 2nd before they joined, then since they have been regulars has finished 6th and 8th, those are facts. I don't need to prove my support for Liverpool, I follow us all over the country and have done for years. If your going to have a go at me for having an opinion which I have stuck by since the day that those two players were signed that's up to you. However if your saying Lovren and Lallana are top players, I seriously question your knowledge of football.

why have fans not a right to feel apprehensive about it at 34 million pounds? You can feel however you want, but why should the club care if you're apprehensive about them spending their money? Fair enough you might spend money on tickets or merch etc, but we're talking 10s/100s, maybe 1000s of pounds. If FSG want to spend 34,000,000 on Mane, then that's up to them, you're/ my/ our feelings on transfers really don't matter outside of this forum. people were expecting more marquee names/a more 'exciting' window (I'll use the cliche phrase we keep using money talks) Right...so who's fault is it that people got excited about marquee signings when NOTHING from the club ever mentioned that would be the way we were going? Gotze is a close as it got but I don't remember anything from LFC or Klopp even mentioning his name, it was the media. Klopp didn't buy 'marquee' signings at Mainz or Dortmund, and nothing he said suggested his time at LFC will be any different. It's the fans and media that make up the stories that most people gobble up and consider gospel, don't blame the club for not bowing to your wishes.

It doesnt matter what manager we have there at liverpool, as long as FSG are owners of liverpool we will never be successful. These are the only type of signings we can aspire too now.

I know he's had a go chris but there's no need to say you question his knowledge of football, no ones knowledge is perfect They aren't our top players though, they may have been brought in for big money but they haven't lived up to their price tags at all. Not in my view anyway. Bearing in mind he's questioning my support and having a go I stand by my right to question his knowledge. I agree nobody's knowledge is perfect and most things come down to opinions, I'd suggest MrShaw respects others opinions instead of having a go if his opinion differs.

it's probably because we don't have rich owners and long term we've fallen. rather than it being anyone's fault individually There's your answer. This is EXACTLY why we aren't paying more than 200k p/w wages (which is what the players I presume you want us to sign) now demand. FSG are rich but they're not Sheikh/ Oligarch rich and it's not as if they are queuing up to buy us either. Just be happy its FSG and not Hicks & Gillet, things could be A LOT worse than they currently are, dot forget that. klopp's reputation should mean he's able to attract international talent He can- you just don't like the players he is after, doesn't mean they're not good. Grujic is his only signing so far that won't be going straight into the first team. He has, by all acounts, improved GK, RW and CB...so far.
