Give it to shearer - can't do any worse than any other manager u'v had since 96. Are you being serious? His only managerial experience is 2 months with Newcastle where they got relegated! Involve him as a coach but as a manager, absolutely no way!

My point is that England were playing without a system, which made us so weak, this was caused by Roy Hodgson not having any settled system or plan and playing players constantly out of position (Rooney in midfield, Sturridge/Vardy on wing).
Spot on, England had to play two central strikers in this tournament, Vardy and Kane after the seasons they both had. For some reason Hodgson couldn't or perhaps refused to do this, Sturridge was wasted on the right wing as well and Rooney offered nothing in midfield. Our best player was probably Eric Dier and even he didn't show his club form. The manager and players both deserve a lot of stick for our showing in the Euros, very embarrassing.

Southgate has a rabbit in the headlights face and u can almost see his resignation press conference already.. shearer is a fighter type, awesome player , I wouldn't even consider that newcastle short stint as that club is all over the place..players would respect shearer, he wants it,he has the badges and who else is there, any manager will qualify for the world cup and then its a case of will he do better than any other tournament ye have been in the past 20yrs or so..well it would be hard to do any worse.

I can't believe Southgate is even being considered but knowing the FA I'm sure he will be appointed, even on a short-term basis. There seems to be a lot of support, and growing support for Hoddle again but he's been out of the game for too long now surely?

He did ok with a much better bunch of players, and I bet he is still a bit of a cookie. Give it to shearer, the fans would love him , he will get balls and players into the box and I think he would revive the spirit round ur whole set up.If it goes to crap well then so has everything else u have tried.

I think the best manager would be Billic, he has excellent international experience as player and a manager, he's tactically astute, he knows the PL players and understands the English game.
Would also be good to steal him from West Ham as I think they are contenders for top 4 spots this year, so weakens a rival.

Great attitude from underdog Wales in the lead up to their clash with Belgium, something that was sadly lacking from the 'cocky we are brilliant Inguuluund camp. Great luck to the Leek munchers.

Can't imagine Bale making a video of all his bling after coming home with his tail between his legs, class has no price, good luck to Wales, they are up against it with Belgium, Bale v Hazard will be an interesting watch, another good game for Allen and into the semi's, it may add £5 million to his value

How good were Wales yesterday evening chaps? After going behind early they really did turn the game on its head and it was a brilliant win for them! I fancy them to beat Portugal as well!
