I think these type of threads have been done before but if you could only choose one player from each of the competing nations at the Euros what would your team be, just for a bit of fun!
GK - Courtois (Belgium)
LB - Alaba (Austria)
CB - Chiellini (Italy)
CB - Pique (Spain)
RB - Walker (England)
CM - Kante (France)
CM - Kroos (Germany)
CM - Modric (Croatia)
RWF - Ronaldo (Portugal)
CF - Lewandowski (Poland)
LWF - Bale (Wales)
I think this team is pretty well balanced, Chiellini is a monster defender and partnering him with Pique would give the best of both worlds, a tough tackling beast alongside an elegant and strong ball playing defender.
Both full backs are strong and quick although I wasn't sure whether to pick Lichsteiner of Switzerland ahead of Kyle Walker.
Kante would be the legs of midfield and the defensive minded player. Kroos and Modric would dictate the pace of the game. Hamsik of Slovakia is a great player but not as good as Kroos or Modric for me.
The front 3 is a dream, all are world class and can score all types of goals from anywhere. There is aerial ability, pace, strength and the ability to bring others into play.
Pretty much the perfect team for me.
