how do you know lucas isn't? after all you are the one that thinks zlatan is some kind of genius so i don't think you can claim to be the best judge of footballing ability

don't know why you drag in zlatan into this? i've watched plenty of italian football over the years and anyone who has knows that zlatan was the best player in the league for 3-4 seasons. a league where kaka and others also played. as i've stated before, most of europe knows how good he is (with the exception of britain) just like most of liverpool fans and people that follows premier league knows that lucas is a very limited player that shouldn't hold a starting place in a team like liverpool.

and i have never said lucas is some kind of wonder player or anything - all i am saying is he should be given a chance to show what he can really do before people judge him

i've seen enough to say he should at best be a back-up player.

and for zlatan not being the best in italy and his team, do your research and you'll see what you just said was wrong.

Lucas was never a holding midfielder when he was at his previous club. I think its a case of Rafa playing him out of possition. Now i'm not saying that he is or will be a world beater or anything other than a squad player, but I think we should give him a break.

im done with this discussion about zlatan because we won't ever agree on it. at first i was talking about lucas and we probably don't agree on this neither, that he's not good enough.

Lucas might be an exceptional player of great caliber but at LFC he has just been bogging down the midfield doing his side and back passes, put together with Masch it is just a flurry of yellows and reds through the season.
Lucas is not cutout for english football, like Forlan who flourished at Villareal maybe Lucas can go to Greece..
