I agree, never really heard of him, but if we pay for £45 million I expect this guy to be a world star, winning trophies, starring in world cups etc, mentioned with name like Suarez/Bale/Neymar etc.
The fact he transferred for £4 million 2 years ago and he's not a known name does not inspire confidence, hopefully the quoted prices are well off target, someone needs to tell Ian Ayre there was a typo in the price and when they hit $45,000,000 they hit the 4 again by mistake and really it was $5,000,000 they wanted, tell him quick before our transfer budget disappears on one of his trips!!!!!

Remember Kante and Mahrez was also unknown and went to Leicester for almost nothing, which means a player doesn't always have to be sold/bought for a high fee to be quality.

I agree, but if we are paying £45 million for a player, I expect he is well known and played well at the top level.
Paying large money does not guarantee success, I prefer we buy players that Klopp wants and fit in the system, whether they cost £5 million or £50 million, we have done that before paying £32.5 million for Benteke and he does not fit into our system.

apparently we're closing in 45m, hope he can play on the right, or is just very expensive backup for firmino or I'm not going to be a happy bunny. I can't see us spending £45million on one player, and if we did there is absolutely no way he would be back up!

Money, money, money, its a rich man's world... Sometimes I have to check that I haven't wandered into the Financial Times website by befuddled and ageing error! Why oh why does everybody have to focus on the money all the time? Personally I couldn't give two fiddlers f***s what a player costs, for me its all about whether he can do a decent job for us. Our job as fans is to demand consistent and top class on-field performance. Worrying about the money and finances is John Henry's job, and we should let the damned penny pinching ould scrooge get on with it.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

A finger of fudge is just enough until it's time to eat KP.
