Everything is dependant on how long Sakho is out. He is without a doubt the best CB we j have, and he's a natural leader too which is priceless. I'd go for Sakho and Tah in the middle for a while and let Gomez play cups and some prem games as CB and some at LB, just to get on his feet again and learn from Sakho. I'd also rotate Matip and Tah for cups too, I personally like Tah more, but he is younger and even though I like Matip, I think he can be clumsy, not as bad as Lovren though. Got a feeling that Klopp will make him a world beater though. Every post I've read of yours over the last few days I have disagreed with. All our centre backs have had their moments, and I wouldn't say Sakho is definitely our best CB. Lovren seems to be more dominant physically than Sakho so I would probably play him more in the league and I think Sakho may be more suited to Europeon competition.

Matip is better than Lovren. Lovren, while better now than he used to be, is another Skrtel type that will get found out. Look at how bad he was with Skrtel. He was good with Sakho, because Sakho is one of the best CBs in the league and lead Lovren. He looks ok with Toure, but Can has been back for a few of those game, making him look better than he is, just like Wanyama and Schneiderdden did at Southampton.
I did rave about Matip either. The fact is that he is coming next season, he is better than Lovren and I'd rather not have either of them. But I trust Klopp, so I think he'll get Matip decent.

Haha, Lovren more dominant than Sakho, you can't be serious? Sakho is easily better than Lovren, he should be our captain.
Don't you see the pattern in why our defence has been so bad since Skrtel came in? Before he joins, our defence was good, reliable and hard to break down, in comes Skrtel and suddenly......years of rubbish defence. He gets injured and suddenly our defence gets a bit better, imagine if we had decent defenders, more like Sakho?

This thread shouldn't really be able who is better sakho or lovren, even though if we sign what we think is a top centre back one of them obviously has to lose their place.

Like I said if we sell skrtel it's a chance to improve rather than sustain, I mean lovren and sakho are not the two who are going to get us consistent clean sheets next season?

I'm not trying to make it about Sakho, but anyone with eyes should be able to see that he's our best and most consistent defender and actually makes others around him play better. If I had my way I'd only keep Clyne, Gomez and Sakho and build around them at the back. I personally feel that Skrtel is gone and that Klopp doesn't trust him. I mean we're trying to build a world class team, do you seriously think players like Lovren, Skrtel, Lucas, Milner, Benteke are ever going to be able to compete with the boys of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Athletico Madrid when they couldn't even compete with Leicester city and possibly the world United side for 30 years? I might sound harsh, but it's time to want more. Get rid of the rubbish once and for all!

Get rid. We have had a bad defence for years he's been at the heart of the defends for this period. He's capable of some amazing last ditch challenges but for every 1 good thing he does 3 bad things like giving away silly fouls

Yes we need better players than we currently have.
But no need to ship all of them out until we have their replacements lined up (or on the way).
With our lacklustre record of getting good players signed we might aswell continue to miss all available suitable options and be left with the likes of Bogdan and Caulker coming in on free transfers to boost our squad!
