I'll be happy if it ends 2-1 or 1-1 and we can play a 2nd team against the baggies, need to use this to feel more confident in our fitness, and get a rhythm going as klopp talked about, use this as almost a semi run of the final, just the score is not the be all and end all. chelsea are still a good team and can cause an upset when they want, look at spurs, and somehow they kept the tie interesting against PSG for a long period in the CL. I think it's brave to predict a 3-0 win but not inconceivable if we play our first team and we get a good send off for basel.

can't believe we're subjected to lose against this bag of shit3e, could of scored 3 before hazard danced past our players and scored. dissatisfied with the performance, not 100% effort. wonder how many missed tackles alone were made for hazard's goal, tackles are something we make a lot of per game as I've said on the forum before, we rank one the highest in all european leagues for tackles made per match.

Pathetic conversion rate! 29 shots. 14 on goal. 1 goal.

One reason teams benefit so much from sitting back deep against us is our horrible awful shooting. Usually shooting is the solution against a team sitting deep, but since we have 0 (zero) players who can shoot properly at any rate we are fcuked in such situations. Especially 1-0 down! Please let us sign at least one good shooter this summer. Soon I can't take this anymore!

Another observation: Today's display was plain horrible. Soo many technical errors, sloppy passing and un-synched movement from the lads. At times when we kicked simple balls out of the pitch instead of just passing it properly, I just wanted the misery to be over, turn the TV off and go to bed. This was probably supposed to be our starting XI against Sevilla. Wonder what Klopp will do about that now.

3 sparks in the game were our subs:
-Allen: Lively and tough.
-Ojo: Should have scored on his first touch, but a fantastic cross to Benteke for the equalizer.
-Benteke: What can you say? 4 touches. 100 % passing accuracy. 1 shot. 1 on goal. 1 goal.

I thought we were shiit in the final third, no passes make it to the final man, the attacking trio behind Sturridge were abysmal as they lost the ball far too many times. I guess we will stay 8th.... Well done to Mignolet and Benteke for staying sharp.

caused by letting chelsea take the lead, half hearted performance in the first half, stepped it up a bit in the 2nd, but such a frustrating game, liverpool caused some of their own problems. I disagree that we don't have any good shooters, even Can for instance is a good shooter, we have a lot of players who are good shooters and can be clinical, we just weren't on the money last night. we used our width well late in the game, and were direct, that helped break chelsea down not so much shooting ability

same

so we keep him then?? he didn't get bullied too much unlike sturridge and firmino. while I love benteke scoring a goal at the time, it's frustrating because he's probably going to only deliver a half conversion rate goals to games like he has at his previous 2 clubs, which isn't good enough, I'm still a little bit surprised we managed to score 2 with him playing against watford.

By good shooters I mean players who converts their shots into real goal chances better. Look at Coutinho. How many shots last night? How many were like a home pass to his own goalie? Firmino the same. Lallana the same. They all had good opportunities to score goals but fluffed it. Sturridges first free kick? 70 degree elevation almost out of the stadium. FFS!! mad

And it just went on and on. Clearly the players were told by the staff to keep shooting as long as Chelski sat back that deep. But as I said earlier: We don't benefit from shooting since we almost never even hit the goalframe - never mind get the shot beside the 'keeper.

Not saying that we should or shouldn't keep Benteke. Just saying that it was typical that he finally came on and scored within 4 minutes!

Playing a game against an opponent that sits back deep may mean that you have to tweak your tactics a bit earlier. It was plain to see that we couldn't get through by shooting or dribbling. Passing didn't even seem to be an option - no one took any runs in between or behind their defence line. But as soon as we took on our subs it all instantly changed. They had 2 strikers to worry about and Ojo can actually cross a ball. He has done it before and now did it again.

The most frustrating bit of the game was that Klopp obviously played his starting XI against Sevilla. And they didn't deliver the goods!

Benteke was on for some 6 minutes and scored. Sturridge played 93 minutes and fluffed everything that came his way!

Was this a good build up to get a CL spot by winning against Sevilla next Wednesday? I'd say hell no!

Should Klopp now stick to his original plan and play the starting XI from yesterday, or should he mix it up once again?

Well, just consider it as a training session for the Europa League final, Klopp will have to show them now where to improve and how. That would make them either less complacent or less confident, let's hope it's the former. We didn't lose, so if we don't lose we will win the Cup as long as we improve on the penalties
