wasn't going to say anything but if we sell milner we are probably going to have to sign 2 CM's/a Cm and a Dm. without a doubt deserves a place on the bench at least.
As for lovren, a whole new centre defensive pairing and goalkeeper sends shivers, we have to carry through some of the existing quality in our spine, that means ideally one of the cb's.

IMO we should be looking at bringing in at most 3 top quality players for the first team, with maybe a couple squad players/potential.
The areas i'd focus on would be:
GK LB CM/RW
I say CM/RW, because i think it depends where we plan to play Milner. If he's going to play CM, then we need a RW, if he's going to play outwide, we need a CM to partner Can.
GK - Migs has been better recently, but is still prone to mistakes that cost us. I'm note sure who the best option would be for his replacement, maybe Horn or Ter Stergen as we've been linked with. But it needs to be someone solid; De Gea has pretty much got the Mancs into the Top 4 this season, whereas argueably Migs has costs us being in contention.
LB - I do like Moreno, but recently i've been paying more attention to him and he is caught out of position alot, which means we're weak down the left. And for all the talk of him being good going forward, how many assists/goals does he have? His shooting has been very poor. I'd keep him as an attacking option, but bring in a more reliable 1st choice LB, We've been linked with Hector who could be a good option, or even Rodrigues from Wolfsburg.
CM/RW - As mentioned above, this depends what we're doing with Milner. If he plays RW we need a top draw CM to play with Can. Someone who can get forward and contribute with goals. My first choice would be Ramsey but that's not going to happen. There are plenty others we've been linked with though - Xhaka, Dahoud etc.
If we play Milner CM, then i think we should go for someone pacy on the right to give us an extra dimension to our play. My top 3 options would be Payet, Yarmolenko or Walcott (I know people don't really rate him but he has a good goal return and bundles of pace)
If we managed that then our team could be:
--------------Horn/Ter Stegen------------- Clyne------Lovren----Sakho/Matip----Hector --------Milner/Dahoud*----Can-------------- Payet**/Milner----Firmino--------Coutinho-- --------------Sturridge/Origi------------
*or Xhaka/another top CM **or Yarmolenko/Walcott
Then we'd still have a strong squad with the likes of Hendo, Moreno, Ings, Gomez, Grujic, Lallana, Allen all able to contribute and rotate

I'd say 3-4 new players max. Not including any cheap squad players he picks up for a gamble.
GK's a given. I guess we're waiting on the Sakho thing for a new CB, and how Matip does. LB a priority for me, as much as I like Moreno.. He'll make a very good squad player. Ings/Sturridge/Origi is fine for 1 striker position. Ideally then a DM and attacker across the front 3 but I'd put all remaining funds into a midfielder if the player was right.
It's actually looking a very strong squad for next season if the buys are right this summer.

I'm with you, it's definitely quality over quantity, as others have referred to as well. it's definitely reliability as a must with the keeper. what if milner doesn't start at all though? just a rotational player as you've pointed out in our potential team-sheet for next season. moreno makes his fair share of key passes from left back, not that I'm saying someone else who came in couldn't do the same. moreno does well when liverpool use more of a 433, as evidence against swansea at home, man utd at home, newcastle at home. it's bizarre though, we're weak down the left, yet we need to improve on the right/our attack down the right I'm completely opposed to yarmolenko as our right mid, and I don't really think walcott would be perfect. I think the suggestions of moura, mkhitaryan and bellarabi are more suitable

what is it you have against yarmolenko? just curiousm I haven't seen enough of him to know that much about him, but was more suggesting to type of player i'd like to see (pacy with an eye for goal).
I think our left is our best attacking side with Moreno and Coutinho, but because Moreno bombs forward so much it also leaves us exposed. Milner and Clyne player a more prudent game.

I think it's because more players are right footed, players like messi are lucky to have such a good left foot

Next season I'm hoping for something like this:
------------------------------Migs/Horn----- Clyne/Flanno---Gomez/Tah---Matic/Sakho?---Mereno/Hector ------------------Can/Allen------Grujic/Henderson------------------- -----Lallana/Ings------Firmino/Gotze-----Coutinho/Markovic ----------------------------Sturidge/Origi---------------------------------
I still think that we ended a decent DM in there and maybe another striker.

Klopp doesn't trust Sturridge and I think the 1st decent offer for him we'll end up selling him. The only reason he's back into the fold is because of injuries. I'll be happy if we get rid of Sturridge, he has an awful temperament and I can see him causing us problems if we keep hold of him. You get the feeling once the euros are over and it's back to the nitty gritty of pre-season, Sturridge will show his true colours again with phantom injuries because of his extremely low pain threshold.
