I spoke about Luis Alberto about 2 months ago, chris said he was not good enough for lfc. and while he hasn't done badly for deportivo la coruna I don't think he's as good as lallana, therefore I have to share chris's view.
however much I like his style, and his shooting ability and vision, I'm not expecting much if he made a return. I mean there is quite a big gulf between some of teams in la liga is there not, I expect he did better for deportivo against those teams?

Buying him to replace Shelvey was another big mistake

Let's face it, Shelvey is bang average, gives his all, but it's pretty rubbish. I think that we should bring Luis Alberto and Markovic back next season and give them some time. I have faith that Klopp could make Markovic a great player, and Alberto had gotten better and would be very useful. He needs to be played in an attacking 3, just behind the striker though, and of to the left, not down the middle, which doesn't suit his skills. But Markovic can play anywhere along an attacking 3, great player in the making.

Well he is fast, I'll give you that!
But why didn't he show anything of that last season? Then he was just strolling around aimlessly. Seemed totally lost but for a very few occasions - the Newcastle goal comes to mind.
It might be that BR played him at wingback instead of further up the pitch, which made him feel uncomfortable.
But I also remember that we discussed that issue back then, and came to the conclusion that he should be able to at least show something to warrant a place at LFC - played out of position or not - and he didn't show a damn thing during the whole season!
Hope Klopp can turn him into a good player!

his passing isn't good enough same as when he was here, crossing is also coming under passing. very decent presser/good pace as expected, but would we all be raving about him?

But Markovic can play anywhere along an attacking 3, great player in the making. how about pre-season game as a right midfielder, that space is most free, and we know he can score goals. why not behind the striker, how doesn't it suit his offensive skills? he's scored against villarreal this season in a 2-1 loss. seems to do well for deportivo when he faces a team who use a 442

Alberto is a very clever player
He needs a run of games before he can be rated the only problem is we have a million players in his position and they're all better than him
