Another game, another mistake that cost us the game first Moreno giving the ball away then Mignolet flying out for no reason. Its similar to Southampton defendkng so poor. Very dissapointed to stay up til 4am to watch this garbage. I am worried about europa now because we can easily lose the tie if we defend like that and give away goals.

again, the praise for de gea over mignolet is unfair, as de gea is in a setup whereby it's easier for him to make saves, but there we are...

our midfield let us down as much as mignolet for both the goals newcastle scored. people are going to praise the attack, especially after these recent performances but the attack can be as flawed as the defence in some ways. if we weren't so clinical in the first half then we might not have got on the scoreboard, the way we attacked in that second half reminded me of leicester away, maybe slightly worse.

No. It's praise for De Gae because he's a top class keeper and not for Flappy because he's shitte! Nothing to do with set ups. Just a very big difference in ability.

No it's praise for de gea over mignolet. yes de gea has more ability, but I'm just trying to stand by my opinion I've voiced many times that it's not just mignolet's fault. I think the 15 point loss due to a keeper is a bit far fetched, but regardless we should have a better team next season so I think our whoever is between the sticks will perform better. Almost everything is to do with setups so I don't appreciate you dismissing tactics and the impact they have in the game...it's quite narrow minded and ignorant

day started off bad with the idiot sakho and his total stupidity , but as for the game great in the first half played really well two great goals , but then slacked off and newcastle got lucky as they are crap , not good to draw against such a poor team and again throwing away a two goal lead , but bigger anmd hopefully better things to come in the next two thursdays , plus the day was saved when everton got beat in the last minute at wembley hahahahahahahahaha , so roll on reds to villarreal and let get the UEFA Cup.

would just say faz they are not a poor team, even klopp said in his interview no one really understands how they have ended up in the relegation zone -even if we can think of a combination of reasons. they are a team who can get results when they fight, ok they are not the best at scoring goals, as jermaine jenas was saying on match of the day 2 extra, and if you can get at their back 4 they are weak, but rafa has tried to get them playing attacking football with an emphasise on trying to counter.

could be argued 2 on target 2 goals is lucky, but they should have pulled one back before half time, or put mignolet in trouble.

You don't want to get into that bullshitte with me pal especially after having your arse handed to you last night.

I know a dodgy keeper when I see one and no amount of system will stop that. Its are shitte at the back yet De Gea saves them time after time. Flappy on the other hand fukks us time after time.

it's a good suggestion sixties, klopp doesn't normally react quick enough if we're 2-0 up though. Liverpool actually chased the game when newcastle scored their first which I still can't believe, newcastle struggle to break sides down a little bit like liverpool, we shouldn't have not gone searching for a third, even if firmino had stayed onside it might have paid off - easy to say in hindsight but it's genuinely my thought at the time. like chris pointed out the amount of times we've lost the lead this season has been a major factor in our shortfall.

yeah maybe you are right it's much more to do with quality than anything else. mignolet's positioning is atrocious, explains why he's not saved that many 1v1s in his career so far at liverpool. he's made more errors that have directly led to goals than any other player in the last 3 seasons, nine. I just want to defend him because I don't want us to believe it's simple, or be disappointed if mignolet was replaced with a better keeper, with this same team and struggled to keep clean sheets. also I do believe mignolet hasn't had the best chance to shine like de gea is.
