The media is just trying to keep the pressure on us ... I personally think that they are frightened of us having new owners that actually care about the club ... that's why they're trying to scare every potential investor by making the club looks so unstable

You could be right F9T - I've said it loads of times that in the main the media is anti-LFC, main culprits being SS. Some clubs/managers can do no wrong. Rafa/Our board get slated for winning only 2 major trophies in the last 5 years ...Wenger and his lot get what for winning naff all? Mmm..nothing! Man U with 3 times our debt?...no one in fleet street seems remotely concerned, but when it comes to us it's a whole different story. I'm not massively pro-Rafa and I'm certainly not happy about the owners, but the stuff that gets sensationalised and fantasised by the media about Liverpool football club is ridiculous and un-balanced compared to other clubs.

Well according to some random Sunday rag I glanced at today...Mail I think...he is quoted as saying that he wants to get the W.C. out of the way first, as that is the current and most important thing for him, with it possibly being his last one, and that he'll think about things relating to his future at Anfield when it's all over.

Who or what do you believe ey? eek

THIS is this close seasons Barry saga all over again. Mark my werds. mad

Not that old chestnut again , here we go.... Keep Rafa at all costs, sell any player he sees fit to sell. He's the right man for this club , end of..

Gerrard a Madrid target if De Rossi fails

After agreeing terms on a £40m four-year deal (as detailed here in The Sunday Times), Jose Mourinho has already discussed Real Madrid transfer targets with club president Florentino Perez, with the focus being on new players who will bring greater defensive stability to the Spanish club.

Inter full-back Maicon could be the first signing of the Mourinho era at the Bernabeu, with Roma`s Daniele De Rossi a high priority for the midfield. If a move for the 26 year old Italian international fails, Florentino Perez and Mourinho will turn their attention to Steven Gerrard. The Liverpool midfielder said yesterday "I won`t consider my future or think about what is going to happen to me until after the World Cup. After the World Cup you have three or four weeks of holiday to consider what the next best move will be for you."

And no doubt half of his Chav players will be going there too. Another summer of Real spending like there is no financial woes in the world.

We all have heard this stuff before a million times. 100% LFC or wherever and then they go. I couldn't care anymore.

He's given a number of great years service and I thank him for that. He's earned the right in a short career to play for whoever especially seeing that the owners for years have mismanaged and not had the same ambition as he has quite clearly.

If he's at the club come the new season great, if not we will have to make do without.

Let's just try and have 11 players on the pitch who want to play for LFC and all these wage boys can FO!
