...which can't always happen, like dortmund away when he and coutinho were on the left (liverpool went for more of a normal shape), and was caught out of position too eager to go in for the tackle and left space for players like Mkhitaryan to break into (positioning and tackling being 2 areas of moreno's game that are not good enough for a solid left back).
He possesses such a great shot, and bursting pace, there was just enough space for moreno to make a telling contribution, with the opening goal (well struck shot) and what should have been an assist with a cross origi could of stuck away. I think klopp said in part of his interview we had an open left side, moreno marauded down that left side at every opportunity, if he does start we'll need him to block crosses as I expect dortmund will want to do more of that.

He needs to be played as a Left winger / left mid/ wing back
He's better going forward than back wards

He's better going forward than back wards Problem is we already have more accomplished left mids/wingers, yes he played well under rodgers when used as a wing back but I don't think we should change the way we play football just for alberto. 442 diamond would leave enough space on the flanks for moreno to attack from like he did when he scored that miraculous goal against spurs, but that would require liverpool being more disciplined in how we attack and defend. when I'm saying about space for moreno, I basically mean not packing the midfield, he's bombed on a few times when we've operated in a 433, but he's not been as productive as barce's jordi alba, and no where near as defensively sound. So until he can play like jordi alba I don't think liverpool are going to make the most of his attacking talent, or moreno is going to be secured in klopp's side.

I think klopp likes more physical defenders, his fullbacks at dortmund were always tough nuts. Actually wouldn't be surprised he went back for Schmelzer who looked good against us.

Yeah I agree, not sure about Schmelzer, not sure joe gomez will be backup lb, more like a backup cb, so klopp may bring in jonas Hector.

The problem is that we don't have enough quality in defence.
If we were playing 4-2-3-1 with 2 really good DM's then it wouldn't be a problem for Moreno to keep bursting forwards - without leaving open gaps in defence.
As it is now we are quite unbalanced with many attacking minded players who foremost play attacking minded football. When a fullback like Moreno steps up no one reads the possible threat and takes his place.
Also if we would make room for Moreno further up the pitch - who should we take out? Coutinho? Firmino? Sturridge? No way José! For now he'll have to adapt and get better at defending, and read when and not he joins the attack, that's what he has to do!
In the summer we need to sign either a better LB (like Clyne, but left sided) or else we need 1 really good DM to cover our defence.

Exactly.
The problem with some of our attack minded players is that they they are cáck at defending and up until now haven't been good enough at attacking either.
Lallana's last season at Soton brought him 9 assists and 9 goals. So far this season he has scored 3 goals and made 6 assists. He might make 9 assist this year too, but not 9 goals. Not good enough for a regular starter!
I'm actually more impressed by Benteke's 7 goals and 3 assists - given the little time he has been playing.
Lallana's form has been better recently, but has to get more involved in the attack - scoring goals and making assists.

I was thinking more along the lines of Hendo and Can both being attack minded players and the imbalanced partnership there, and moreno and clyne, we don't see clyne running with the ball enough and in space to hurt teams like he did at southampton, I think it partly has something to do with moreno already wanting to hem teams in by getting as far up the pitch as possible, so by the time the ball gets out to clyne he has to go backwards and it's very congested, he needs space to pick a pass.
As for lallana yeah we don't have enough key contributors in the assists and goals department this season. I don't even think we've played a team consistently enough to see more recognized contribution.

For me Can, Milner and Henderson are too similar (and/or not constructive enough) to be all (or maybe even 2 of them) on the pitch at the same time.
For the time being Milner fills in quite fine as a right sided winger, since we don't have anyone else suited to that job at the club.
