Harry Redknapp hails him as a 'big player' for Reds in the future, reports Oli Fell..
Brad Smith played 90 minutes twice as Australia romped to the next stage of World Cup qualifying after topping their group.
The Socceroos easily dispatched of Tajikistan and a Harry Redknapp-managed Jordan side putting 12 past their respective opponents, winning 7-0 and 5-1.
They finished the group with seven wins from eight games, losing to Jordan back in October.
Smith, who made his Australia debut in 2014, had been frozen out of the Socceroos squad as his Liverpool future remained in limbo.
However, with a new long-term deal signed and some impressive performances, including an equaliser against Exeter in the FA Cup, he earned a recall to the national team.
Harry Redknapp was the stand-in manager for Jordan’s two recent qualifying matches, and he has tipped Smith as one to look out for in the future: “I was impressed the other night with the boy (Brad) Smith.
“I think he is going to be a big player for Liverpool in the future.”
The 21-year-old hails from Penrith, Australia, a small town in New South Wales, and played for England’s youth sides up until age 20 moving across the world at age 14.
He spent time on-loan at Swindon the season after making his unexpected Liverpool debut in a 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
Smith’s appearance against Jordan was the fifth time he has represented his country, and he is expected to keep his place after two impressive performances.http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-full-back-brad-11108619

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

If there's truth to us wanting a new left back then I hope it's to replace Moreno and not Smith. Think he's good enough to be our number 2 there and probably good enough to start the majority of the end of this season.
Really like Smith, his delivery is fantastic but he seems more able to do his defensive duties than Moreno too.
