So spangly, could you tell us what current or past English/British manager has been or is good enough to manage a top side? Nigel Pearson? I'd love him as manager, he's so friendly and personable...i could just hug him!

So spangly, could you tell us what current or past English/British manager has been or is good enough to manage a top side? but that's just it, we never know because they never get a chance, they do well at lower level or bottom of the League Clubs and then all they get to is a mid table Club and that's where they seem to remain. Brendan Rodgers is a prime example started off at Reading and Watford, done well at a bottom is Club at Watford then went to a mid table Club like us, he's on the way back down now, Mark Hughes was at QPR now at mid table Stoke, Alan Pardew did well at Reading now ar mid table Palace and previously at Newcastle. I would of had Hughes and Pardew both before Klopp, then you look at the likes of Big Sam how does anybody know if he's good enough to manage a top side if he never gets the chance, he done fantastic things at Bolton why couldn't he do it at a big Club, he knows the British game better than Van Gaal, Koeman who I like, Kloppsy and even Pepe when he comes. Just throwing it out there...

Yes Big Sam did so well at West Ham that the board decided to replace him with Slaven Bilic.
Apparently West Ham wanted to see modern football, and not so much long ball merchant dinosaur football att Boleyn Ground.
But I guess some haven't still come to terms with the new 21:st century approach, where also short passing is allowed.

Maybe if they did well at the mid table club they would then get an opportunity with a team higher up the table with a bigger budget e.g. Rodgers (despite your comment we still operate as a team above mid table with a budget to match) and Moyes. Both managers had their chance but ultimately didn't make the grade (to a lesser or greater degree). As for Big Sam, Bolton was a log time ago and if West Ham fans couldn't tolerate his style of play, what would teams in the top four make of his 'direct' football!!?? It was hardly cultured was it.

West Ham under big Sam was successful because they never got relegated, he had players there and he got the best out of them, whose to say if he managed a better calibrate of player his methods wouldn't work with them, Youri Djorkaef and Jay Jay Ochocha certainly couldn't fault him and so did the Kevin Davies and Kevin Nolans of this world, he has demonstrated he can work and get the best out of all styles of players whereas Kloppsy can't, he can't even get a tune out of Big Ben he's already accepted failure on that score which proves the point he is very limited in only being able to get the best out of a certain type of player...

None of the names you mentioned ed have excelled and if you'd have them before 'Kloppsy' then you're fecking mad! Look at what be did against the might of Bayern compared to Parses (the bitter cvnt) and Allardyce. They've done fukk all between them and have had real mid to bottom table clubs just exactly there.

Klopsy did it for about two seasons at Dortmund chasing one big Club in the League, he then levelled out a bit by dropping to about 7th in his final season at Dortmund. He has now moved to a much stronger league where there are Four Clubs much bigger and stronger in the League than us and another club with a much better team and further ahead development wise. Klopsy has three transfer windows ahead of him to get things right, he is now working in a League where he has no experience, no knowledge and the clock is ticking so without being an Einstein the man is more likely to fail than succeed by the law of averages, impossible task I grant you but that's what the Premier League is about, new managers every two years or so. Big Sam and Alan Pardew cannot be written off or judged properly because they have only ever been given the chance to work with players and Clubs at lower to mid table teams, this is my point, British managers never get the chance no matter how well they perform as foreign ones are flavour of the month with clubs and fans, they think there the best policy for some reason...

So what's your actual point? Do you not think that "klopsy' has as good a chance as anyone of doing what he did with Dortmund and overachieving, or do you honestly think we'd be better off with a Pardew or Big Sam? Although obviously not highly thought of by you, do you think that 'Klopsy' being regarded elsewhere throughout Europe would help us attract certain players that maybe the English managers you mention couldn't? Am i right in thinking that you'd love it for things to go totally balls up for 'Klopsy'?
