The thug finally gets the red. Way over due.
That was a bite. Over the FA now.
Are we going to see double standards after the sentence they meted out on Suarez?
I have a feeling that he's going to get away with it.

Didn't see any teethmarks, plus Barry didn't react like was bit. Just gave him a kiss, looked like he was about to bite him though. I suppose the FA could ban him for intent? They pretty much do what they like when they decide they want to make an example of someone.

If he does get a ban it'll be less than Suarez just because it's his first one

He has now got 10 yellows so that is an automatic 2 match ban. Add the red in top and the FA will probably give him a 4 match ban max.
The London media will not complain as they are biased towards Southern teams.
By rights it should be a 9 match ban, the intent was to bite.

Bearing in mind Costa was already on a yellow card when the incident leading to his sending off happened.
He then reacted badly to a Gareth Barry tackle, attempted to headbutt him then went to bite his neck, he then went mad at the referee when the red card came out. There has to be action taken against him, he's been getting away with being a thug for too long. Why doesn't he just concentrate on playing football instead of wanting to fight the world?

If it's his tenth yellow, he get's a two match ban and one for the red. So he get's a three match ban anyway. Also, he was booked for the offense, so I don't think the FA can take retrospective action.
That was the excuse when comparisons were made between Aaron Lennon's bite and Suarez's anyway. Seen as they were exactly the same and Suarez got ten matches and Lennon got zero.
