We have to win the game in hand for it to count for anything, but it's a good result. The idea of both Manchester clubs and Chelsea missing out on the Champions league is a delightful one, I must say.

City's players have very little confidence and struggle massively away from home so it's not inconceivable that we could eclipse them in the league pending we throw some results together.

With the money they've spent and the wages they are paying their players, they should be walking the league.

I think the owners threw Pellegrini under the bus when they announced his replacement in the middle of the season, that was really stupid of them. Spurs could well be the beneficiaries, if the front runners falter. City might well struggle to make top 4 now and if we can put in a run who know’s? That 4th spot is hanging there like an apple on the tree...can we pick it off?

Yeah, they let him down but he's been average well before that. Not just in the way he sets his teams up but his transfer dealings as well. Okay, KDB is amazing but Bony? Fernando? Etc

I think Pellegrini would be decent at a mid to lower table side but he's very very average when it comes to managing top level teams.

Agree about the transfers but he's won the Premiership! He was also one kick away from taking Villarreal to the Champions League final if I remember rightly, Riquelme (What a player!) missed a penalty in the last moments against Arsenal, they then lost the final to Barcelona in the game Jens Lehmann got sent off in.

I think a lot of the games we have left are very tough, bournemouth have won their last 3 we still have to face them in form, tottenham at home everyone knows about tottenham's away form a win would be big, stoke of course at home a tough opponent, west brom final game of the season away, like I said before I think west brom will have a lot of say about the top four but hopefully they'll keep having something to say against the other teams who are still vying for it.

Just had a look at next weekends games. City have Man U, and arsenal are away at Everton. We have Southampton (who have been poor recently) if we win, and city and arsenal lose, we'd be 4 and 5 points behind them with a game in hand (1 and 2 points behind if we win the game in hand). Top 4 would then start looking a very realistic hope.

However as many have said, all we can control is how many points we pick up, so just have to focus on winning our games and see where we end up.

It's not the end of the world if we don't make top four, but this is the most pivotal moment in the season balancing europa with league encounters, it's very exciting.

Kompany now looking like he's out for a few weeks atleast, can only help our chances! Just looked and city still have to play arsenal, so one or both of them guaranteed to drop points there.
