So Man city held by Norwich, and another 2 points dropped.

Win our game in hand and we go to just 4 points behind them. Any chance of catching them?

Im hoping they keep focusing on the CL, as any more slip ups and we could be in with a great chance if we can keep this run of form going

Win our game in hand first and then I'll look at it.

If you asked me today I'd have to say I don't think we have enough games left in the season unfortunately.

It's out of our hands so will be difficult. All we can do is win as many as possible and hope for the best.

Pellegrini set up today to win, playing what he thought was his best team. I don't think he's necessarily concentrating on the CL over the league at all.
For me, he's always been an average manager and it seemed obvious to me that Sterling should have started in place of Bony in the 433 with Silva in the hole.
City's players have very little confidence and struggle massively away from home so it's not inconceivable that we could eclipse them in the league pending we throw some results together.

With the money they've spent and the wages they are paying their players, they should be walking the league.

Just seen that City play Utd next sunday....

Utd have a lot on their plate right now with the cup tomorrow before having to play us thursday night - then a derby at the weekend laugh laugh laugh

In an ideal world they'll get dumped out the cup tomorrow, dumped out the europa on Thursday and then draw with City next weekend.... we keep up our side of the bargain results wise and we'll overtake Utd and close right in on City with one foul swoop!

What a week we might just have on our hands!

Don't know. Our next 2 premier league games are very tough, we'll know more after them. We could lose both or we could win both so can't say until then. Our games in hand will be the Merseyside derby and against Chelsea, so we may drop points there too. It's impossible to predict how we'll do. We don't have the most consistent team. The points total I think will be needed for top 4 is coming down though. I think 68 points will be enough.

I think the owners threw Pellegrini under the bus when they announced his replacement in the middle of the season, that was really stupid of them. Spurs could well be the beneficiaries, if the front runners falter. City might well struggle to make top 4 now and if we can put in a run who know’s? That 4th spot is hanging there like an apple on the tree...can we pick it off?
