You can't get worse than the Ginger Whinger. I could never understand how someone of his size got away with viciously kicking almost everything that moved during a 15-year playing career, but an arrogant comment that insults a team they weren't even losing to just takes the biscuit:

"The last thing I want for Manchester United is to be happy with finishing fourth and winning the FA Cup. That's what Arsenal do."

The (excuse for a) guy really needs a hard slap in the face. And much, much more.

You know what, I'd much rather listen to Paul Scholes in the studio than Michael Owen commentate. Can't stand that little runt, and couldn't careless what he has to say.

one of our best players in the last 15 years there Donut, deserves more credit, Suarez gets worshipped and caused nothin but grief and trouble and helped us win a League cup against Cardiff yet Michael Owen won us a treble and a few other trophies and gets lambasted, fans baffle me, they really do, by the way I aporeciate and respect what Owen did for us but and no real fan...

Paul must expect some miracle quick fix to take man utd back to challenging for league titles then. man utd were lucky to finish 4th last season, and this season they'd be lucky to win the fa cup and finish 4th with man city still to better this season.

He has to realize also that the manager and playing staff has turned over and the mentality that was once in the dressing room has now gone. I don't think there's anything wrong with him being critical, but he has to realize that the cycle is now complete and the era he played in and helped create has completely run its course.

fully agree, and now they are scrapping for managers, or pointing the finger at the manager when they aren't reaching the levels they think they should be and are entitled to be at.

It's ironic though that despite liverpool being a much better goalscoring team imo, their topscorers list this season resembles ours, martial 7, rooney 7, mata 5, lingard 4, herrea 3. the clubs are still rebuilding

It's the money they've spent since Van Gal has been there, though, they haven't really seen any improvement.

Man utd have some quality midfielders, schneiderlin, schweinsteiger, fellani, they need to use these players to the best of their abilities to help them recover, or set them up to recover long term, buy them some time or give them a template/platform.

They all of a sudden won the midfield battle when they changed to a back 3, some of these players started getting on the ball and being able to do things with it. Infact liverpool annoyed me a little bit before allen came on in the second half, pressing doesn't work unless you all press together, no good half of your players trying to press then the midfield sitting back for man utd to play direct passes through the press, you're just wasting energy. pressing a back 3 is also not the best, as it's effectively a back 5 ofc, and man utd are one of the best sides in the premier league for being able to retain possession and use their width. Problem is a back 3 will definitely be vunerable to liverpool. So they need to come up with other ways of getting their quality midfielders to be able to give their best, they need to look like a different team.

True, they've been a let down, some of the moyes players, as I call them, aren't playing well with the new players they've brought in. I think rio made the comment (or a commentator I don't exactly remember) last night it's like you've put 11 different people together and asked them to play as a team. Not all man utd's players know their roles in the team, the player who perhaps does know his role the best is juan mata. Again, similar to us really, a sign of players not knowing their roles, is the fact you haven't been able to get the best out of them, each individual.
